Did you watch the last match where he scored a 47 and lifted the team to a winning total? He has played his pinch hitting role to good effect. When you play such a role, you are bound to have some failures here and there. Both in the South Africa T20's and in this tournament, Raina has contributed more than enough to be given an opportunity in the ODI side, especially lower down the order where his pinch hitting skills can be used to the fullest. And definitely he is a better option than the likes of Jadhav or Karthik in ODI's because when Dhoni returns back, we dont need a second keeper and Raina is a better fielder and bowler than Jadhav.

Really? We need a pinch hitter in the ODI team and he has comletely shown that he is fully capable to do that. Especially he is better than Jadhav, who is an utter shit fielder.
