My final two picks shall be..

Roy Park - a man whose wife supposedly bent down to pick up her knitting kit and missed her husband's entire Test career in the process. It was so short lasting just the one ball, despite a fine first-class record reading 2514 runs at 39.28 with 9 centuries and 10 half-centuries from 36 matches between 1912/13 and 1924/25. He wasn't the most fortunate player going around, with what could have been his maiden international tour to South Africa in 1914/15 being called off due to the onset of the First World War, and being tasked with supervising a difficult birth in his role as a doctor the night before his Test debut which prevented him from getting any sleep prior to the match. To cap things off, he never got a chance to improve on his first-ball duck on Test debut with Australia registering an innings victory and him subsequently being dropped from the XI for good. But he was nothing short of a demon goal scorer during his pro-football career, recording a staggering 218 goals from just 85 matches - a statistic which ought to place him among the greatest unheralded Aussie rules footballers of all time.

Alec Hearne was regarded as one of the greatest players to never play a Test match for England, but it so happened he did play just the one that was retrospectively granted Test status against South Africa in 1892 scoring just 9 and not getting a chance to bowl due to the dominance of JJ Ferris who bowled the English to an innings and 189-run victory over a wafer-thin lineup with a match haul of 13 for 91 in what was also the latter's only Test for his adopted country. A first-class career record reading 16346 runs at 21.65 with 15 centuries and 71 half-centuries, along with 1160 wickets at 19.93 with 52 five-fers and 9 match ten-fers between 1884 and 1910 having started his career as a genuine tailender was a frankly brilliant effort at the time. He saved some of his best performances in the first-class arena for touring Australian sides, claiming 7 for 66 against them in 1884, 20 & 39 along with 8 for 107 in 1893, and a masterful 168 against them in 1899 - proving he was undoubtedly of Test match calibre.

Yeah, quite pleased with my XI. I reckon I've got all the bases covered with two genuine quicks in Ramji and Russell, a decent stock bowler in Tate and two very good spinners in Hearne and Wilson. With a solid top six and quality batting all the way down to No 9, this ought to be a difficult team to beat in the draft tourney I have planned next.

Alan Butcher was constantly on the England selectors' radar throughout his career and can consider himself very unlucky that he didn't get more opportunities.
Taken from Cricinfo:
"His consistent batting earned him an England cap against India at The Oval in 1979. He made 14 and 20, succumbing to the spin of Venkataraghavan in the first innings and the swing of Ghavri in the second, but he was not given another chance at that level, although he was called up for a one-day international against Australia in 1980. Mike Brearley, who captained England in that 1979 series, rated Butcher as one of the best players of fast bowling in the county game."
Butcher was named Wisden Cricketer of The Year in 1991 after a dramatic turn-around in his career. His Surrey contract was terminated in 1986 upon which he seriously considered retirement from the game but instead he moved to Glamorgan, took over the captaincy and had his most successful season scoring an aggregate of 2,116 runs for an average of 58.77
With the addition of Butcher I've got myself a right hand-left hand opening pair. Interestingly, throughout his entire first-class career he was always involved in a left-handed batting combination.

Andy Ganteaume played a during a weird time when it was thought that keepers would make good opening batsmen since they'd have time to acclimatise to the conditions behind the stumps. Obviously this doesn't hold up today and the man himself wasn't a big advocate of this theory either, so I'll bring him down to four to lessen that burden while Stollmeyer will bat at first drop.

"Kempis was born in Port Elizabeth, Cape Colony. A left-arm medium pace bowler, he delivered the ball with great control of length and could break it either way off the pitch. After taking 13 wickets in three non-first-class innings against R. G. Warton’s touring side in 1888-89, he was selected for what became the very first Test match between the two countries, played at Port Elizabeth. He failed with the bat but took 3 for 53 and 1 for 23 as England won comfortably by 8 wickets.

The following season, playing for Natal, Kempis took 41 wickets at an average of 12.42 apiece. These figures came from just five matches and included four hauls of more than 5 wickets in an innings and two of 10 wickets in a match: 7 for 35 and 4 for 29 against Port Elizabeth, 7 for 44 against Kimberley, 7 for 33 and 3 for 76 against Western Province and 5 for 20 against Cape Town Clubs. He was easily the most successful bowler in the season.

He died shortly after the 1889-90 season finished, aged 24, in Chiloane Island, Mozambique. His death went unrecorded at the time and no obituary appeared for him in Wisden Cricketer's Almanack."

With his untimely death at the age of 24, it is unfortunate that he didn't get to fulfil his potential in cricket or in life, but as a left-arm pace bowler he is going to get a chance in my team

Evenly balanced - Provides an evenly balanced contest for all disciplines.
Flat - A batsman-friendly pitch which provides little or no assistance to bowlers. Expect big totals.
Green - A lot of movement on offer early on, which makes it ideal for bowlers capable of swinging the ball. Batting expected to become easier as the match progresses.
Hard - Ideal conditions for batting. Good deal of bounce on offer for fast bowlers as well. Could go either way
Dry/Slow - Ideal for slow and spin bowlers as the name suggests. Sometimes quite difficult to bat on.
Poor - Uneven bounce and a huge amount of turn on offer for spinners. Expect a slow hard grind where most batsmen rarely score at above 2 an over.

With just one pick remaining in the draft, let's get a few things straight before the draft tourney begins..

*Each person will need to select a venue for their home matches (where your team name is mentioned first), and select a decade in which they want that particular venue to operate in.
*The decade selected can be any starting from the 1870s to 2010s, although it will also depend on whether or not the venue you selected hosted a Test match in that particular decade. For eg The MCG (1870s) is a completely valid choice as it hosted the first ever Test match in 1877, Kolkata/Mumbai (1890s) is not as those particular venues only started hosting Tests in the 1930s.
*You may also select defunct venues such as Bramall Lane, Old Wanderers, or newly christened ones such as The Rose Bowl - but keep in mind your choice of decade will only be limited to the decades of operation at those particular venues.
*I also urge you to select venues and decades based on the strengths of your squad, i.e not select a pace-friendly venue if you have a spin-dominant bowling attack or a spin-friendly venue if you have a pace-dominant bowling attack. For those of you who are familiar with my leagues, you know I will stop at NOTHING to ensure the matches are as realistic as can be humanely possible via cricsim, and so real life conditions will most certainly come into play.
*The decade you select will effect the style of play of most players in a particular match, and may even benefit a player who excelled during that particular decade if the match is played in a favorable decade of theirs.
*There's no need to really do much else, except perhaps if you want a slight change in batting order. There won't be any injuries here which is a first for a tournament I'm running, so there won't be any need to play your 12th men should you have any in your squad.

Types of pitches available

Damp/Sticky - Massively in favor of bowlers and an absolute nightmare to bat on, unless you're Victor Trumper.
Dusty - Plenty of turn on offer for spinners and a good place to bat for spin-savvy batsmen. Good pace bowlers are still likely to thrive.
Evenly balanced - Provides an evenly balanced contest for all disciplines.
Flat - A batsman-friendly pitch which provides little or no assistance to bowlers. Expect big totals.
Green - A lot of movement on offer early on, which makes it ideal for bowlers capable of swinging the ball. Batting expected to become easier as the match progresses.
Hard - Ideal conditions for batting. Good deal of bounce on offer for fast bowlers as well. Could go either way
Dry/Slow - Ideal for slow and spin bowlers as the name suggests. Sometimes quite difficult to bat on.
Poor - Uneven bounce and a huge amount of turn on offer for spinners. Expect a slow hard grind where most batsmen rarely score at above 2 an over.
