Captain Vettori continued to bowl and started his 7th over in the 40th over. At the other end Styris was doing a decent job of keeping Afridi quiet. The crowd were all in cheers expecting Afridi to leash out and smash the ball for six. Thats just what Afridi did.

Vettori had placed the man on the boundary knowing Afridi would not be able to resist for long. Vettori bowled a Fully Flighted ball at 43 kmh. Afridi waited and waited for it before advancing down the track and giving it his all. Afridi had got the elevation and doing so landed the ball onto the roof. The umpires immediately signaled for a new ball whilst Malik and Afridi had a talk.
T.Greig: Thats a big hit....thats gone for a six..oohhh thats a biggie! So Shahid Afridi has decided that he will not be taken litley. The crowd has come alive here at Sharjah.

With 5 overs left and Afridi just warming up, Pakistan are in a comfortable position. Malik will want to give the strike to Afridi as Malik is very tired and Afridi is in explosive mode.
