With the conditions of dew, the bowlers are going to face a tough job too.. With a bit patience, I still believe that Kiwis can take the game away! :) Wonderful presentation through out.. Keep up the top stuff!:clap

Mid-Interval Break

S.Manjrekar: Hello there and welcome back to the third ODI of this Sharjah Cup. Pakistan batted first and made a respectable 289/7 in their 50 overs. To Analise their Innings I have with me Dean Jones and Waqar Younis. First lets talk about the Pakistan batting on a whole.
D.Jones: Well looking at their score I am sure Pakistan would have been looking to cross 320 after the 25th over or so. So Pakistan will just be a tad bit disappointing as they are 30 runs less than they expected.
W.Younis: Well there was only 1 main contributor to the Pakistan team's score and that was Shoaib Malik who scored 134. If you see there were plenty of starts. Nazir 29, Misbah 27 and Afridi is continuing his good run with the bat with a 46 and supported Malik in the later overs.
S.Manjrekar: Well lets have a look at Pakistan's Batting Card.

Pakistan Scorecard

D.Jones: As we see there were plenty of starts. Its surprising to see that Afridi's strike rate is 100. :laugh However even Malik who was in for nearly all the course of the Innings, his strike rate was in the high 90s. So overall the New Zealanders have had a hard time in the field but done very well to plug back 20-30 runs which could determine the match.
W.Younis: Yeah I thought that the New Zealanders really bent their backs and put the effort in despite getting smashed for plenty of runs in the first 25 overs. I think that this game will depend on how the Pakistani bowlers will bowl. A couple of quick wickets and the game will swing in the other teams favour.
S.Manjrekar: Ok Gentleman thank you very much. Well thats all from this Mid-Interval break. We will now take a quick break and when we come back we will have the New Zealand run chase underway.

Malik played a gem of a knock, Afridi should have got a fifty from 46 balls he faced.

Pakistan strike early
(Alam gets the breakthrough)

After the first 50 overs of the match the crowd was alive as ever. Pakistan had rolled World Champions Australia over in the previous game for just 127. The crowd were expecting a similar performance from the likes of Shoaib, Gul and Tanvir. With all the hype, the two umpires Billy Bowden and Simon Taufel strode onto the pitch followed up by New Zealand openers Matthew Sinclair and Ross Taylor. Misbah was discussing the tactics thoroughly with Shoaib as the crowd waited anxiously for the first ball.

With the crowd behind him Shoaib ran up to his mark and delivered as Sinclair casually left the ball outside off-stump. The speedometer showed 146.5 Kmh. In the same over Shoaib nearly got Taylor's wicket. Shoaib continued to bowl outside off-stump but was getting swing in to Sinclair and Taylor. However Taylor decided to have a swing . The ball got the bottom edge and missed the stumps by centimeters as the ball crashed against the boundary ropes.

The first 3 overs had gone for just 7 and the pressure was mounting up. However, Sinclair totaled his first and last boundary of the Innings by placing the ball nicely down to Mid-off. However Sinclair's stay at the crease didn't last much longer.

Shoaib started his 3rd over from the Pavilion End. Taylor had been struggling against Shoaib so he needed a quick single.

The ball was hit straight at Fawad Alam who was at cover. There was confusion between the two batsmen and Alam's throw was collected cleanly by Sarfraz Ahmed who immediately knew that he was a goner and started to celebrate. Even Square-Leg umpire Simon Taufel gave it out without referring to the third umpire.

Sinclair had only made a mere 5 runs before returning back to the pavilion. This brought recognized pinchitter Jesse Ryder to the crease. He immediately upped the scoring rate smashing Shoaib for consecutive boundaries. Taking 14 off Shoaib he raced onto 15.

Overall the New Zealanders have made a steady start. As the match progresses batting will become more of a problem.

Shoaib 5-1-20-0
Sohail 5-0-17-0

New Zealand require 256 runs to win at 6.4 Runs Per Over

The match is in balance but I would still say its in Pakistan's favour. Alam's fielding was amazing, now Pakistan need to get couple of wickets before the Powerplays end and put more pressure on the Kiwis.

Awesome stuffs Arslaan :clap

GO KIWIS! ... i cant believe i just said that

Kiwis still have the chance of winning but its Pakistan's time to win the match.Early wicket is good thing.Nice presentation mate.kiu.

Early wicket is a bad start start for the Kiwis. Lets see if Pakistan can capitalize on that. Go Pakistan:D

Nice stuff! KUTGW!

Good to see Pakistan striking early... If the bowlers can strike now, the match will be more in Pakistan's favour...

You need to make it more obvious when you've updated Arslaan ;)

Good that Pakistan have got the early wicket, although school-boy running there. I take it you are batting as NZ as I have had about 3 run-outs since I bought the game

Superb upate mate, good writing and good use of GFX. Keep this up :)
