Wow!!! Kiwis are really flying high cant believe this partnership. Taylor and Ryder have destroyed the Pakistanis and poor captaincy by Misbah, Afridi not into the attack yet and Nazir has gone for runs. This is gonna be easy stuff for the Kiwis now.

KUTGW Arslaan :clap

Great going by the kiwis. I will still say match is balanced. A few tight over and then Pakistan will be back. Although i am sure Pakistan will fight back. Great update mate.

How could you lose this? :noway Very disappointed in you Arslaan. You are gonna have to exploit some good bugs to win this now ;)

Excellent work mate :)

I expected this from Kiwis... Fantastic stuff from both Kiwis and the story writer :D

Sharjah Cup
New Zealand vs Pakistan
Live from Sharjah

Game Over
(New Zealand win comfortably by 6 wickets)
Misbah knew he had to increase the pressure and on top of that get the wicket of Ryder or Taylor. To Misbah's liking, any would do. As the run rate required got lower and lower the Pakistani fielders were almost giving up hope. With the score on 243 Pakistan finally got the breakthrough. And it was the dangerous Jesse Ryder who was storming back to the pavilion in a rage. In an attempt to clear the boundary to reach his century, Ryder surprisingly mis-timed the loft. Younus Khan made no hesitation as Gul and Pakistan had dismissed Ryder for 96.

The Partnership of 231 had also been broken. With the fall of the wicket, Pakistan seem rejuvenated and reluctant. However new batsmen James Marshall was not going to easily and smashed successive boundaries off Shahid Afridi. With just 19 required off 30 balls the Kiwis were relaxed and Taylor wanted to be there till the end. However, Pakistan gained a consolation wicket and that too of Ross Taylor. It was a weak shot indicating he was suffering from fatigue. Taylor attempted to chip the ball over Mid-Off's head. However the ball got the height but unfortunately for Taylor not the distance as Younus Khan took his second catch of the match aswell as Gul's second wicket.

The Pakistani players shook Taylor's hand as he walked to the pavilion. The Sharjah crowd, who were mainly Pakistani stood up out of their seats to applaud Taylor's Innings.

Pakistan gained yet another consolation wicket. With 2 runs required James Marshall attempted to paddle the ball down towards Fine-Leg. With Imran Nazir being the bowler, Marshall had premeditated the shot. Nazir fired the ball in and appealed with all he had. Umpire Simon Taufal raised his finger as Nazir was overjoyed. Peter Fulton hit the winning runs by a single to cover. The Kiwis could celebrate as this was their first win of the tournament and this also heats up the tables.

Match Summary
Pakistan: 289/8 (50) Malik 139, Afridi 42, Imran 29
New Zealand: 290/4 (47.5) Taylor 120, Ryder 96, J.Marshall 19 | Umar 2-46, Imran 1-52, Shoaib 1-53
Result: New Zealand win by 6 wickets
Man Of The Match: Ross Taylor

Right then guys. I am going to be summarizing matches 4 and 5 and do full updates for the final if that is all right with you guys.

Thanks. :)

Great presentation there Arslaan :thumbs

Was expecting a bigger fight for Pakistan though, 289 is almostv300, And 300 is not easy to chase, Well it shouldn't have been that easy for NZ..

KUTGW!

Taylor and Ryder made this total to look so small to chase it ;) Well done Kiwis :hpraise Fantastic presentation :)

Ah. Can't believe Pakistan lost the match. Jessy Ryder would be dissapointed to miss the century. Great batting by Ross Taylor. Good update mate

Lmao @ Pakistan :laugh how did they manager to loose after posting a huge total  Great win kiwi :clap

well PAK should have won that easily but their bowlers let them down...BIG TIME

I am shocked at how badly Pakistan bowled. They just blew this game.

It's alright Arslaan, I know it can be hard doing updates every 10 overs or so and it's easier for one big and one. Also it goes by quicker.
