Harmison is a better red ball than white ball bowler.

If JD plays as the all rounder would they pick monty aswell?

I would definatley pick Monty; He is actually a good spinner. If Dalrymple would play, then i'd put him at 3 or 4.

That's the thing though, these aren't/weren't our best back up bowlers.

Lewis, Gough even Kirtley are better one day bowlers than Ali, Mahmood and Bresnan.

Dimi Mascaranhas aswell.

The selectors are a joke.



But our problem has been the strength of the back up of our bench.

No, he has just come back for Hants, about 3 games in now, which is good news.

I would definatley pick Monty; He is actually a good spinner. If Dalrymple would play, then i'd put him at 3 or 4.

Dropping JD would be hard and I think he has been tremendous but having 2 spinners at home when Pakistan have dangerous spinners of their own is a big no-no.

I'd play Clarke as the all rounder, Chapple if he is fit enough.

I would definatley pick him too, but as a batsman and not as a spinner. Monty sould definatley be in that squad.

Well I had already said I was a bit disappointed in the bowling overall, but Kaneria showed some improvement. As for the batsmen, they're still adjusting.
