Well I had already said I was a bit disappointed in the bowling overall, but Kaneria showed some improvement. As for the batsmen, they're still adjusting.

Yeah, just like our batsmen 'adjusted' to Pakistan in the winter. :p

Only joking! This should be a far more evenly contested series than it was in November.

Pakistan are favorites IMO.
England don't have Flintoff and who is to go in his place.

Pakistan don't have Akhtar; I know they are both completley different players, but both teams have lost a talisman.

I haven't a clue as to who the selectors have in my mind.

We might replace him with Bell and then Colly, Bell and maybe KP acan get through some overs.

Bell and Colly are decent bowlers.

My first review on this post is "england did'nt do better against India and SL now wht the the hell all people expecting them to do something against PAK...." and they have lost there key player Flintoff now, how they gonna think to compete with these situation.... Shoaib may be fit for secong test..... The Only thing eng can take is the adjustment of Paki players in these conditions or they perform below par..other than this its would be a one sided series like it was in 2001... (apart form Lords)

I agree that Akthar carries our bowling, but we've won many games without him. We beat Sri lanka without him. But Akthar is not our bet player. The one who gets the team upbeat is Inzi. Pakistan do great with Inzi around even if he does not make 50's every game.

The ODI's might be one sided but the Test's won't be imo.

Cook is improving all the time, Harmison is back (varied in the ODIs but is a better red ball than white ball bowler) Monty can take wickets vs any team imo.

The tests will be anything but one-sided. I expect a great battle between bat and ball.

Agreed. It may well be down to a single session, to settle this series. I'm looking forward to this.

Hi,

Can Anyone please tell me which channel is going to broadcasted this charity match in UK.

thanks

Pakistan is now on the 3rd of the Test rankings, since India slipped down two points. You can say the Test series between Pakistan and England will determine who is the second best Test side in the world, but I think we've got plenty of series like that already.

That rankings system is stupid; it just isn't right when you almost completley outplay a team, win 1-0 and drop down.

But I agree that the 2nd best side in the world is the winner of this series.

Look at how low the West Indies are in the rankings and how high India is. India was expected to win the series 4-0 but barely won it 1-0. I think the system is fair enough.
