I don't think anyone here can really pass judgment on this unless they were in a room with the match referee and the umpires during lunch. It was shocking and I'll be hawking Cricinfo after the match since ESPN cuts off the Sky telecast as soon as the last ball of the day is bowled. With tea coming up, we may get some hint of what went on out there.
Pakistan seem to have just lost their killer instinct a bit, although with KP out, things may change. I don't see the English losing another wicket before tea, and I think they'll be able to wrap up the day without losing another one unless someone plays a stupid shot. As said by the commentators, Pietersen and Collingwood probably chose a ball that was about 300 overs old. :P

But, anyways back to the match, Bell and Colly in, they have to be there at the close for England to have any chance of survival now.
