Whilst all this is going on, England are just laughing and reading teh papers.

Well, what else can they do? I certainly wouldn't want to get involved.

anyone have money on an England win?

I do, only on vbookie unfortunately. Might be getting a handy sum of 300ish.

Interesting point. What will happen in the ODI series now?
Well as we know, its not that easy to get out of a series. There would be massive financial implications.

Oh absolutley, i'm making reference to teh fact that England find teh whole situation comical.

Actually i think the Umpires have to stand their ground, cos otherwise, everytime a team gets a bad decsion they'll just leave the field till they get their way..

Umpire's feeling totally undermined imho

Absolutley they have to stand their ground.

They're talking about Hair and racism on Sky now. Rameez Raja is adamant that Hair shouldn't be allowed to umpire Pakistan matches.
I'd just like to thank everyone in this thread for their restrained comments so far and request that they stay that way.

Again, I have to stress the fact that we should not judge the situation based on what we think about the umpires. Daryl Hair and Billy Doctrove may well have seen evidence of ball tampering, but all evidence publicly available, currently, points otherwise.

Would England come back and continue bowling if their bowlers were accused of generating reverse swing illegally? I don't think they would, especially if they hadn't.

RR tends to forget what he's saying when he gets worked up. :)

IF pakistan have been found of cheating they should get a ban HOWEVER if they havent and the umpires have indeed made a mistake then they should write a formal letter to the team to apologise. But i think this was neither the time nor place to protest they could have protested tonight putting tomorrow in jeoprady not half way through in my view

Call us Anything, no cheaters, I hate that umpire, I'm right behind Inzi, F*** uP! we don't wanna play, get to te hell ICC umpire board.

I'm just glad that England have nothing to do with this matter whatsoever. If we recieve any backlash on this matter then it is completley unfair because we have done nothing at all wrong.

But that is defeating the whole point of the protest. The protest is to show that there is not an agreement with the decision. How would it have been different if the protest was tomorrow? It is clear that the Pakistan team and everyone involved with them takes this event very seriously.

So do I, in fact, its just a sense of irony that even if they did play, England would probably come off for light.
