If Lewis can move the ball he'll be more than a handful. Hes taken a bagful of wickets against an International side before. Ian Harvey, Vass and Chris Harris have shown pace doesn't matter in ODI cricket as long as you can move the ball.

Eddie said:The main difference between them is , to hit Broad for a boundary you have to take a risk..with Mahmood you can just wait for the short wide ball..usually bowls 2 of those per over..
Eddie said:Pretty sure his only success was the 20/20 game against Australia..I think he was dropped during the ODI series (also V AUS) after Gilchrist and hayden were treating him like a spinner..
Harvey was a differnt type of bowler to Lewis..and ODI specialist, varying his line, length, slower balls yorkers.etc. Lewis bowls line and length without swing easy to hit.
Vaas - different league to lewis
Chris Harris - slow part time pie-thrower..would not get in a team for bowling alone..
Would still rather see Kirtley or Tremlett picked ahead of him. However i'd rather Lewis play than Mahmood !
Eddie said:so , first ODI is at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff tomorrow.
Whats the pitch like there?
Is it a large boundary?
One of the few grounds i have never been too..
