Reminds me of 2005, 4th ODI vs India.

Well done Inzy :)

Although quite funny, no ball on last ball. Why was noball called? stepped over line or too high?

Not sure. But had it been a legal delivery, Pakistan would have lost by 1 run since the batsmen weren't able to run on that one. I wonder who the MOTM was. Should be Afridi for his amazing 41.

EDIT: Why is Cricinfo not providing any coverage whatsoever?

Too high. The Pakistani section of the crowd went wild after the umpire signalled a no-ball! :D

It was an unbelievable match- Simply beyond words. The atmosphere was incredible and both teams played really well. And Shahid Afridi- Just what can you say? 41 off 11 balls...That's just amazing. He was devastating against all the bowlers- One of his sixes cleared the stadium! :happy

Oh my gosh! Very poor coverage from cricinfo for this match where the legendary players are playing in one team! This is nonsense as Cricinfo are the leaders of online cricket coverage! I didnt know abt this match at all until I read the detailed article of this match at Cricinfo which came well after the match ended!

Sachin facing bowlers of some type of international standard and scored 50 odd runs in a really strokeful fashion? I feel he will get back to somewhere really close to his best form! He has been scoring runs like he never did (even though the oppositions attacks have been pretty ordinary).

Brutal knocks from Afridi and Dhoni! The crowd must have loved every moment of this match! Too sad, I couldnt follow the action on the net!

hey can someone post a scorecard for this charity match? How much did Lara score?

Yep, Waqar Younis did play. Bowled two overs before being substitued in the field. I don't know if there are any scorecards around on the net anywhere, but Lara made about 25 before being caught behind by Kamran Akmal.

Also, I don't think there's been any coverage (TV or web-based) because it was a chairty match, and they wanted people to come and watch the match.

Good to see Freddie back playing yesterday and playing well...
My team for tomorrow:
Tresco
Straussy
Bell
Cook
Pietersen
Collingwood
Jones
Plunkett
Hoggard (Mahmood if injured)
Harmison
Panesar

Is Mahmood the best choice you guys have left. He wasn't very impressive against SRL.

BTW, for those who haven't noticed the new ICC rankings, Pakistan has moved comfortably into the second spot, 7 points ahead of England. :D

:happy :happy :happy
