I dont think England will have that many problems with bowling..you guys have 2 of ur main frontline bowlers in hoggard and harmison..

We had them and Flintoff against Sri Lanka who have a weaker batting lineup.

I just got my cable operator showing the match after exactly 26 hours..... so i dont have a good idea about the pitch and stuff..... Is Pakistani bowling sloppy or is the pitch dead?

Poor Colin! gone for 186 :( i am a pakistan supporter but i would have like getting him 200!

Agreed. Even I wanted him to get his 200 and then get out. Kaneria was not celebrating as he normally does, instead he seemed to be praying instead, a lot like Sami was.

Game on...

Yeah really disappointing that Colly couldn't get to 200,
He deserves it he has played really well.
Well done Kaneria, well bowled and a good take and stumping by Akmal.

Marcello from Italy writes to say that Geraint Jones has set a new world record. And it?s a good one, too: he?s played 45 innings in Test cricket without once being dismissed for a duck. Email us if you have any thoughts, or curious oddities to tell us.

:happy

When Jones plays against Kaneria or Afridi tomorrow he'll play the sweep and he'll more than likely he'll get out by them.

Taken from Ashes debate thread :D

Another Jones failure, another dismissal against spinners, who cares about his no ducks record.

Collys innings was very good, good strike rate too.

Kanerias been spinning it more since he put that bandage on his thumb, Coincidence?

I've not made my mind on it yet.

Plunkett gone.

Whatever Liam Plunkett is he's not a test no. 8. Pakistan have Akmal at 8 who was brilliant the series against us; not to mention Afridi at 7.
I don't understand why he's playing there - atm he looks worse than Monty.

Simple fact is, he isn't good enough for test cricket generally. His bowling isn't up to it either. The problem we have is there is no one to fill that role at the moment bar him.

I reckon we could drop him for Flintoff and get Colly to bowl more overs maybe. Flintoff, Harmison, Hoggard and Panesar with support from Collingwood.

Did I just see GoJo out sweeping again? Or was I watching a replay of one of the past 7000 times he has been out in that way?

Interesting idea. I like it, but I don't think the selectors would. Personally I am in strong belief we should have 7 bats before Geraint Jones.
