Yousuf is brilliant; no denying that...
Good to see that KP does in fact have the capacity to be an all-rounder (which was the basis he got into the team on). I'm expecting Pakistan to equal England's score tomorrow or even take a first innings lead.

how can he have got into the team on the fact he can be an allrounder? his FC bowling average is about 48 i think (cant remember the exact figure)

Not really, more a statement of fact.

Our lead is 120ish, if the ball swings early tomorrow and Hoggy finally finds some form, we have a chance. At least we don't bat last on this pitch.

Agreed. It's crucial that the lead is above 100 though, so that we have something to build on; we have the players capable of scoring quickly. Shame we havn't got Flintoff, he'd have loved this situation.

I was exaggerating a wee bit but he was certainly being described as an all-rounder before he was called up.

Hardly an all-rounder, he's got I think 1 ODI wicket and 1 test wicket!

Can be useful but no body to sit back on Kamran Akmal has found that out.
Good innings form Yousuf, if Pakistan can get a lead and then there bowlers bowl well they still have a shot at winning.

To pull this game away from the inevitable draw would take something really special, probably with the ball rather than the bat. With 2 good batting sides, but average bowling sides, this could become a very dull series...

Bah, cricket is cricket and I'll watch it. Freddiefan, you have your mate back next test anyway, and he's more of a let's do that skipper than Strauss!

If I remember correctly, which I usually don't, didn't KP once take a few wickets against England in a tour game back in 99/00? I think he may have even got a fiver; although I read this a long time ago.

Look, KP isn't going to help England solve their spin problems. He is a part time, no matter how much he turns it, and doesn't have a lot of control. Giles is better than KP because he is accurate and knows how to bowl (somewhat :p)

I wasn't for one minute sugesting that KP is the answer to our spin problems; I was merely saying that he is a handy back up bowler to have.
