i think the only winner he will be england. there's enough tricks in this pitch to catch any of these batsmen off guard - it's just a matter of hitting that lucky spot. it's keeping low and has been reversing a bit all match - i think the pakistani's are just way better against reverse swing than the aussies are :)

Would be nice to see an afridi special - 300 runs is a heck of a lot still to get on a 5th day pitch though.

erm, I don't think England would be able to make 400 lead, Pakistan on a good position now, win or a draw. YAY!

Cricinfo - 'Strauss ton puts England in charge' how much garbage?

How is it garbage?

340 ahead with one day left, I'd hardly say Pakistan were in charge

This pitch is odd, it's started to turn from Monty and he's bowled several wicket taking balls, just hasn't had alot of luck, Pakistan have played him well.

Yousuf is a class act, heading straight for a draw though unless something incredible happens.

MONTY! LBW Yousuf gone iic.

Iqbal gone now, again to Monty from over the wicket spinning accross him and caught by Cook.

Yousuf was the most important man at this moment. I dont think Pakistan will go for the target now and they will try to get a draw out of this match.

Hey England were not in charge because of that, let me tell you.

Anyway this is Test no. 1809 :).

It's all up to Afridi now, Inzi will try to stick around, Razzaq will get out soon, and I can't wait for Boom Boom.

You should be dreading Afridi getting to the middle; face it, you aren't going to win this match, but you will probably get a draw. Afridi is almost incapable of playing defensivley, just like Dhoni wasn't capable of doing it in Mumbai.

A team with Gilchrist, Afridi, Dhoni, Gibbs, KP, Flintoff and Astle couldn't get these runs in the amount of overs available.

Pakistan have been playing for a draw all day long!

I can't see why Collingwood is bowling out there; Hoggard and/or Harmison should be bowling. Although the game is dead, i'm disapointed with the way England are playing this final session; If we aren't gonna get Inzi out then the least we can do is get Harmy to rough him up, so that he realises that we aren't going to treat him lightly. Inzamam is batting unbelievably well, and he has been the difference between us winning and losing today. The rather pointless 30 minutes batting this morning didn't help either.

Well, it's a good pitch and we'll have Freddie back in Manchester but I still feel we should have been pushing much more last night when Strauss was in and set. It appears that Jones was told to play defensively and just stay in.

Yeah I hope we can win at Old Trafford with Freddie back. Pakistan have Younis Khan though, which gives them a bit more experience.

Like I expected the match has been drawn. Good batting by Pakistan in the end.

Yes, but Younis Khan is a better Fielder and Batsmen, usually at Silly Point or Slip. (Where Iqbal was fielding) And Iqbal had a better Batting experience then Butt.

BTW, whats the Pitch like at Manchester?
