I noticed this morning that Sajid Mahmood was running in a bit straighter than yesterday. You could see the white line where the run ups were. I think this took him more down the leg side than anything.

Woah, Remember at the Oval you'll be facing a whole different Pakistani Bowling Attack, with Akthar, and Asif.

I know that'll be different but both won't be as there best, and certainly not at top pace. Hopefully we'll drop Saj, he starts ok but then goes off completely.

I want Glenn Chapple to play, I really do. If Fletch is so obsessed about his bowlers batting, then he has the perfect candidate right there.

Why is everyone so confident about Akhtar being fit for The Oval? Even if he is, he won't be bowling at 90mph. I back England to win at The Oval.

Even so, he will have good accuracy. He won't be slow by any means. Even if hes only 85 at max.

I'd stick with Umar Gul; He's looked good in this series, and I would save Akhtar for the ODI's.

i agree with Evo for two reasons

1. Akhtar wont be up to full speed for tests, but im sure for ODI he will be.

2. We will get absolutly smashed if he is included, saying he is hitting 90mph and above every ball.

:D Im just thinking of Englands safty

He seemed good against Ireland (but it IS Ireland), and didn't get his chance to get smashed against SL, so he really should be given a chance against Pakistan.

Happy that Colly got a wicket, strikerate of over 300 (at least), but it was a poor shot by Iqbal.

Pakistan would rather have Akthar than Sami.

my guess is that Akthar comes in for Sami, and Asif comes in for Nazir, and Gul stays.

and i can guarantee you, even a 50% fit Akthar is way better than Sami.

Iqbal got a bit unlucky, ball kept very low, but yea about time colly got a wicket!

Yes, but I wouldn't stick with Mohammad Sami.

If it was a 50% Akhtar..
And 100% Sami..
Sami would have blowned Akhtar away then! :D

I keep reading everywhere that the most likely two results are a draw or a Pakistan victory. Everyone seems to be discounting the likelihood of an England victory despite the fact they will be making Pakistan bat last on a day 5 Headingley pitch.
If they situations were reversed I'd have Pakistan as favourites.

If Pakistan need to bat out a draw they can, thier middle order is fantastic. Still, if the bounce gets more uneven and starts moving a bit, Harmy could run riot.

Well, I guess if England were to collapse, it would leave open Pakistan in a winning position.
