with sohails name in cricket and match fixing he proberly said "maine pasie kaha hai? over there? ok, bowl!" :p

Going off-topic, but Sohail wasn't the one who threw the game away. Him and Anwar took the score to 84 in just 10 overs, the rest of the team threw it away.

I think Saqlain Khan was saying it on a jocular vein, rite???

I dont think that match was fixed!!! Both teams played tight cricket and India won in the end by 39 runs.. Never did it look like being a fixed match!!

Remember When kaif Took that brilliant catch? It was just great,And remember the inzi knock The first match,One of the best odi match I have ever seen,

The score goes like this for those of you who has missed That great matche

Inzi won the toss decides to bowl first for some strange reason,

india puts on a world record total,
349
dravid 99
sehwag 75
kaif 45

Pakistan innings just fell short of only 6 runs
inzimam 122
youhana, classy 76
younis khan 45

final score 344 just short of 6 runs, what a great match it was, sorry to be off topic.

ya that was a great match indeed
one of the best I've seen

yup a classic..probably the best odi ever?
No that wasn't. I agree that was a really good contest, but not the best. I think you guys forgot about the best contest, Netwest Series 2002 India V England final. India chased the target of 325 something like that. There was no hope for India to win, but in the end M. Kaif was the hero; saving India.

There are a lot of ODI's that India have played which can be termed as classix. Cant pin down to a single one of them.

But I would say the ODI final vs England in the Natwest Trophy 2002 rates higher than the Karachi win!!! This one had more emotions, heart warming moments and this victory meant a lot to the team. Till then, they had lost 7 finals on the trot and one more final defeat would have hurt them too much. And when Sachin was out for 15, every one lost hope on that game!! But Kaif and Yuvraj fought back in a way that has been edged in history!!! That is an ODI that rates way higher than the Karachi ODI!

I would rate netwest final higher that a win at karachi

talking about best ODI's (although not Indian) I cant stop thinking about Aus vs SA semi finals

Coming to the India - Pakistan ODI's, the best one should be Karachi 2004 followed by Bangalore 1996 and Centurion 2003!!!

i didnt watch that match buddy.. i was just born in the year before, and i havent watched the video of it yet..

In terms of close encounters, the three that i mentioned come in the front.. its surely co-incidental that the best matches have ended in Indian wins!!

shahid, u too forgot the Australasia Cup Final (was it Rothmans Cup?) in 1985/86...India 125 and Pakistan 80 odd all out!!!

a little bit of patriotism can be forgiven... :) ... n e way if we r talkin abt some of the best Indo-Pak ODI's, we cannot forget this final, and the Miandad's last ball six match, the 1996 WC Quarterfinal, Sahara Cup matches, and of course the whole series last year...

Indo-Pak classics include B`lore 1996 , the 2 sharjah finals , Centurion 2003 , Karachi 2004

Coming back to tomorrow`s game , If my memory serves me right , India beat Australia at kochi in 1998 and also SA in 2000 (India chased a 300+ target Vs SA)
but shockingly lost to Zim in 2001 (Douggie Hondo , the destroyer )
It will be a batting paradise , a good stadium which is primarily used for football matches
BTW , as far as the Indian team composition is concerned , they must definitely tryout M.S.Dhoni and let Dravid concentrate on his batting . The batting order must be flexible and if necessary India should ven try out I.Pathan as a pinch hitter just to surprise the opposition .
They must play with 3 seamers and Bhajji

My Lineup
Sachin
Sehwag
S.Ganguly/M.Kaif (If seamers are on , why would u send Ganguly ? )
R.Dravid
Yuvraj/Sourav
Ganguly/Kaif/Yuvraj
Dhoni
Pathan
Balaji
Zaheer
Harbhajan

I feel it will be 3-3 the series cause they way in test match was 1-1. The same think i feel it's all setup teh match is going tobe 3-3. For sure and i am not saying it will be 3-3 it's just my opinion. What i feel so.
