Oh no my points are in danger. But great bowling from India. As long as Inzy's there anything can happen. But the problem here is that Mohammad Hafeez is batting too slowly. If Pakistan can get it down to 8 runs an over with 15-20 overs to go, they have a chance with Afridi and Razzaq. But now it looks like India are just strangling the run rate.

Easy win for India in the end. Sachin chipping in with 5/49 I think. Pakistan never looked in it after they lost their first three wickets. Fardin, why isn't anyone telling Pakistan that they cannot lose the match?

YES!!! It's all over. India have won the 1st ODI match at Nehru Stadium, Kochi by 87 runs. bala bala, whata excellent cricket from India in bowling and mosly in feild. Also excellent innings from Veeru once again and The Wall, R. Dravid, both scoring 100s.

Congralutions to India and Sachin for picking up 5 wickets. Then Viru and dravid most grateful to them. What a match. An easy win for India. I hope it continues in other odi match.

Yup, India did really good in this match and deserved to win. Very good batting from Veeru and Dravid, and even though not good from the bat from Tendulkar, wonderful bowling. 5-50 is amazing. I am just really angry at Ganguly because he hardly did anything in the match to make India win and he was smiling during the presentaion

Ganguly made pretty good field-placings to keep Inzamam and Pakistan down after they got them early. That short point was very effective in dismissing Kamran Akmal. He also made good bowling changes--got Sachin in to get the 5th bowler's quota out of the way and it worked out for him! He fared well as a captain, I feel, but has loads to go on his batting.

why shouldnt he?? he has led India to a win. See, on this wicket, he picked 3 fast bowlers and that was something which he thought was brave. and it clicked. except for nehra, the other two picked crucial wickets....

Superb Win for India!! I hope now people stand up and dont write our team off as soon yet!!

Sachin 5-50? Sachin seems to have a love affair with teh Nehru Stadium, Kochi. this is his second five wicket haul at Kochi!
