It's not good to judge someone on one innings. I am sure he will come good.

He hasn't made a first class century in 4 or 5 years, hasn't scored any runs since really, you can't just chuck someone in test cricket who has had no FC form in years tbh, Wade's been the form keeper in Australia for the last two seasons, he can play a defensive innings, rotating the strike, or he can hit out, as seen in his 19 ball 49* in the FRC. I can't see him doing too much better in the future.

TBH the only runs Paine has scored in FC cricket has come as a specialist batsman.

If that's the case, what is this guy doing then here? Just get another wicketkeeper who can score runs. And it seems Australia has already one in Wade.

Little bit surprised by the aussie selections, in particular Watson opening (in ODIs maybe, not in Tests)

Seriously for someone who is so overtly statistical in every post you haven't realized that Watson averages over 50 when opening the batting in tests.

Looking forward to this hopefully Pakistan can quickly finish off the tail and bat solidly.

There is a Pakistani bowler who I can't quite remember the name of but was always in the 4 Pak quicks, with the other 3 being Asif, Gul, Ahktar and ..., '...' being the guy I can't remember.

Feel bad for him? He's a professional cricketer its his job to take the hits especially when come Pakistan's tail batting he'll be doing the exact same.

Hanging on well here Australia; Gul hasn't bowled very well to be honest and keeps bowling no balls. Asif would be a lot better in the situation as he'd keep it straight and nibbling around which Bollinger would find alot harder to deal with in my opinion that these bouncers. In fact Bollinger has played the bouncers with ease although he's been hit hes getting his hands way out of the way and is turning his back on them.

Well, that's the end of Bollinger. He did well. Australia got 31 runs for the last partnership.

I'm guessing that a Pakistani wicket will fall in the first session.

I always thought that was Asif and Ahktar, think I lose track as well .

Played heaps of Tests; couldn't take wickets. From what I've seen, he has a poor sense of length, the sort of bowler that can get a batsman swishing around, but won't pitch it up enough to get him out.
