I wouldn't be surprised if Pakistan are more fearful of getting rolled while it's still cloudy, than they are keen to dismiss England.

Pakistani bowlers always have a great start but then have trouble getting the tail out. They will probably wait till Ajmal gets some turn of the pitch and then finally dismiss the tail. England might be 250 by then.

Trott is really hanging there, Broad is playing well too. I think Pakistan will still win it.

Good to see Broad is finally back in form with the bat. We really do need him to give us lower order support come the Ashes.

I'd say this game is completely balanced again now. Really good bowling conditions so I doubt Pakistan will get over 250 odd.

if Pakistan some how able to bat 25 to 30 overs with one or two wicket loss then pitch looks a belter for batsmen.

I really think that Trott could become the premier batsmen of the test team. He's very dependable, very good technique and the pressure doesn't seem to bother him in the slightest.

I quite like watching him bat although I am the odd type who enjoys turgid innings. Used to love seeing Atherton bat.

I do too but there is a big difference between watching someone carefully craft an innings like a Dravid or Chanders and what this annoying bag of feces does.

What is there not to like? Every time he marks out his crease it makes me laugh. My first prediction came true earlier about England being 55-5. I then said we'd get to 280 with a Trott hundred. I'm nearly as good as Mystic Meg going by this extremely small sample.

Well done Trotty. Saved us with this innings.

I just hate the way he goes about batting, the amount of time he wastes and how nonchalantly he does it. Can't believe no one has punched him in the face yet
