Gotta say I think Pakistan rather did give the impression they expected the wicket to fall rather than push home their advantage. They may come to regret missed chances, dropped catches, not having third slip (at times) etc
Has there been a greater recovery from 102/7 to more than TREBLE the score to 346/7? With one batsman making his highest FIRST CLASS score it was astounding

Personally I think the close of play will save Pakistan, I anticipate one or both England batsmen getting out early today. The fun and games often end abruptly, I remember many a late order runfest that ended disappointingly with players poised for landmarks of looking like they might just save the day. In this case I think there has been enough rescue work done that England could salvage a draw. Two days gone, one innings not yet complete and normally as a rule of thumb I reckon you need both 1st innings complete by near enough the close of play on day three, maybe a little after but not much.
Trying to squeeze two complete innings into 4-5 sessions offers too much chance of a draw, even if one is batting last. Most sides would fancy their chances of batting out two sessions, even Bangladesh. Of course it depends how big one of the innings is, the lead etc, but Pakistan would need to at least get close or slightly past England and that should take at least one day if not more - assuming no more rain/lost play
