Pakistan vs England Jul-Aug-Sep 2010

200-250 might have been interesting, but this is just way out. Sure, they're a chance if Afridi fires, but they really need two or three other players to fire as well.

274 is a huge one IMO. and well done Davies, played extremely well in this conditions.

Interested in how Shafiq goes about his batting today. He's been gun for Pakistan A against Sri Lanka's and South Africa's A sides.

Do Nasser and Knight not like each other? They're just sitting in silence nearly all the time.

They've started talking to each other!

Just lol'ing on how badly Umar Gul got smashed away! :laugh

A 50 partnership is a good start. It might behind the pace so far, but if they can use it and accelerate, then they can begin to get into the game.

Ominous signs for Moyo?

Anyone in the Middle East watching this game?
They showed it on CricOne but now they are showing the Champions League T20. :facepalm

Irfan turned out to be crap, so predictable
Twice as good as Umar Gul though

80% of the time, Pakistan aren't total goons. If that meant they only had 5 or 6 great batsmen, or 4 good bowlers, it wouldn't be such a problem, but they all spend 20% of the time as a goon.

That said, the game goes on, in spite of several earlier acts of goonery.

from his cricinfo profile

Confusion remains over Mohammad Irfan's actual height - the PCB has variously measured him at 6'8", 6'10" and 7'1".

Sums Pakistan cricket up in a nutshell. Incompetent, deceptive and untrustworthy.

Seriously, how tweaking hard is it to measure someone and report the facts without blemishing them. No surprise these same people don't believe video taped evidence.

Elaborate please

Collingwood hit a six into the crowd heading straight towards a man in a wheelchair who jumped out of his seat to get out of the way of it. He was fine though; stood up and walked back into his chair which was slightly odd.

Good total from England, pressure told on Pakistan in the end. England for once trusted the main attack and it paid dividends, although the size of the title and England never letting them back into it from 123/2 really did for their efforts. FOUR Pakistani batsmen got to 30 and didn't pass 60, another three got to 18 and not past 20. Once Akmal was gone that was it

What's with pop gun Afridi these days, he seems to lack real BITE :D
