If McCullum was to by some miracle score a century in this game (and that's not looking likely given the current run rate by Pakistan) it wouldn't mean much at all, he'd most likely do nothing for the rest of the series.

This is why I love ODI's. After being 60-3 after 20 overs, they have fought back tremendously. In T20's you don't get the chance to come back. That's why ODI's deserve a place. They let both teams come back. They let the middle order batsman shine, and make captains think over and over again, making them change their game plans. For people who say that ODI's are too predictable, just look at this match. Pakistan seized the moment brilliantly, when they needed too. Well played. Now hopefully we can see a valiant fight from NZ, and make this ODI a classic one.
