I'm not sure it's true, either.

The LS footwork control doesn't seem to get an especially accurate read from user input as it stands on a 360 controller, and I think I'f prefer just having a wasd system (or qweasdzxc) for footwork, and clearly a mouse is a much more versatile analogue input than a piddly little stick. I'd much prefer taking a swing at deliveries with my mouse, a la cue control in virtual pool.

Of course it's even easier to pirate with mouse and keys controls so I wouldn't blame them for avoiding it even purely on that basis, and indeed to do another control method really well would require separate dev resources over and above doing the controller system for consoles, and all of it would need integrating and testing, so they'd actually be spending loads more money to shoot themselves in the foot commercially for the benefit of a small pc user base.

eta they could call it the Commercial Suicide Edition : Mouse and keys / Occulus Rift Exclusive

Even if you could do that with the batting and bowling controls, you still need analogue controls for the triggers.

If you really want to do that I'm sure you could find a program to map it like that.

For FULL analogue yes, but how many people are able to manage those? Instead, you could have 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% on different keys maybe?

more than input accuracy, i guess its not knowing which animation will play-out especially in the ondrive and straight drive and inside out shots, different times different animations playout with different results.

You just map mouse speed to shot weight, surely? That's my whole point about the mouse having input possibilities that would just be too fiddly to execute or read on a little thumbstick. In virtual pool, you don't need to press any extra buttons to hit the shot harder or softer. You just move the mouse harder or softer, and it's a much more intuitive control scheme than a button or slider system, and it takes less conscious thought and reaction time to execute.

That's a lot of coding time and effort put into a minor feature for a minor release. I think Ricky Ponting Cricket 2007 had a feature like that, and it was a tad rubbish. It seems it one of those ideas that sounds good on paper, but generally falls apart a bit.

In terms of the amount of time it would take to do, it's no simple task remapping in such a way with power weighting as well as direction. Particularly with defensive shots it would be even more touchy than some claim it to be now with shot selection (though I don't seem to have such issues, it's worth mentioning that some have said it). The manhours to make such a thing are unlikely to pay off even if it were a good feature, as many on the PC would just use a controller anyhow, and with the PC already being a minority it seems (which Big Ant attributes to the pirates), I don't really see why they would ever bother.

Considering you seem pretty bad at keyboards in the first place, it'd be pretty surprising if you could even if it were possible.

How do you fearsome tweak up KEYBOARDING when you're typing a question about your stolen copy of the game? That's how.

Yo I basically said all that in my previous post.

I think some form of mouse and keyboard controls could work and agree that moving the mouse like swinging the bat could be a nice way to do it.

To me it seems the footwork only has six variations anyway - front/back foot, off/straight/leg variations and the triggers could just be mapped to holding left or right mouse button...

Can anyone explain how difficulty increases in the game.
Say I start at pro when and how I will reach legend?
I am playing on legend, I started @ pro but reached legend in first season only without international selection even before IPL, my difficulty level increased with the increase in helmet rating.
Helmet 2 vet
Helmet 3 legend .
Please any explanation will be helpful , thanks in advance

Helmet rating has no bearing on the difficulty level. You can have a helmet rating of 5 and still be on PRO. That's why I asked you to start a new career on Legend and see whether you see any difference with your current career while batting.

i guess i could do that, let me give it a try
