PS4 version coming soon? If not - which version to buy?

I know, it's two questions but the second one really depends on the outcome of the first.

I want to play Cricket on my PS4. It's shiny. It's has better hardware than my PC because I'm poor at the moment and can't upgrade until about XMas.

I do also own a PS3 and an XBox 360.

So - when is the PS4 release date, please? I don't need an actual date but something like "around such-and-such a month" would do - just some kind of timeframe.

If we're not getting a PS4 release, which version is the best one to play?

Usually PS3 versions have shoddier graphics than XBox versions - don't know why, but games I own on both consoles tend to look better on 360.

Also, my PC specs *sighs* :

Dual core 3GHz
2GB RAM (I keep typing MB sorry) :p
Radeon HD5670
Windows 7/32
152MB Broadband

So - will the PC version run like utter crap?

Which version will have the most activity? Most of my friends will not buy a cricket game because they're too busy playing Battlefield games that should be released as DLC not full games (Yes, Hardline, I'm looking at you!) so where would I find more Cricket mates so online play becomes a possibility?

I can't be the only PS4 owner wondering all this - please, someone help us out! :spy

Is your computer from 1990? ;)

There seems to be more of an online community with the PS3 version; so if you're going for online then that's what I'd recommend. I also think that the controls suit the PS3 version more; but I've not played the Xbox version so don't hold me on that. There isn't a huge version between the PS3 and Xbox graphically; so both would be OK if you're planning to be more of an offline player (although since you've given your internet, it sounds like you're interesting in the online)

The PC Specs thread is here; based on my very amateur opinion it looks like you'd struggle to run it even on minimum specs. I'd need more info on exactly what your processor is; but it seems like your main speed bump is your graphics card. Since you can't afford an upgrade until later in the year, I'd personally go the console route unless you can get a cheap graphics upgrade somewhere...

A next-gen version was confirmed last year but there has been nothing new on that since then. It depends how patient you want to be: I doubt that there will be anything any time soon though!

Oops - no I'm just old and mistype things all the time.

I play mainly online games and like to chat, so mic'd up is normal for me. Usually avoid randoms because they never talk. I struggle to find communities for games that actually talk online *grumbles*

The problem with the graphics is that the mobo only has a PCIE 2.0 slot. The latest cards seem to need a 3.0

The chip is an Intel E5400 running at 3.0GHz

I agree, doesn't look hopeful for the PC version. Stealing my wife's PC is not really an option, but it's one I'd consider if I was getting a regular online game later at night. *chuckles* She has a Quad 4.2GHz chip. 8GB RAM and a HD8750. (I know, I know, whipped... wife has a better PC than mine...) :lol

Not looking good is it? I hope Big Ant can just give us an idea what's happening there. I know they'd love me to buy the game twice, but I'm not so keen on that :facepalm

We're meeting tomorrow to finalise the file system for the mods, someone posted about the umpires kit previously, not sure if it was you(?), I noted it at the time but might not have posted - we will look at it for sure.

I am surprised I haven't seen many Youtube videos using the filters.

i have one to go, just need to edit it, a super batting collapse for the england rebels 1982 v south africa colts 1982. if it's the innings i think it includes an unbelievably un-boycottesque 70-ball century from Sir Geoffrey.

played with bodyline teams on sepia last night, looked glorious. even affected my batting, i was deliberately avoiding reverse sweeps as "too modern".

mrs came in to the room and thought the TV was broke.

at one point they had the Don fielding at silly-mid-off, that was strangely unnerving.

Don Bradman Cricket 14 Squad Update

HI GUYS! I just got DBC 14 on my xbox 360 and I am loving it. There's a slight problem though....As I live in Pakistan, I don't really have access to xbox live. I am sure there is a way of accessing it but my big brother doesn't really approve of it. It would be a great help if anyone can post maybe a save or the updated squad update online so that I can transfer it on my hdd. All my friends have a ps3, so its not possible for me to take help from them....btw I am 15 :)

(P.S) If you are assuming that I have a modded console, I don't blame you...I was reading a post where a guy said that he didn't have any remote connection to the internet and his friends weren't helping him...It's a great and funny read. It's just that I don't even have a xbl account and my brother won't let me make one. Quick replies would be appreciated :cheers

Sharing rosters offline is not supported by DBC 14 and you will need XBL access to do so. Work on your brother some more...

Already tried doing so....He won't budge..Do you have any other alternative solution

I remember reading in their official FB page some weeks back that PS4 is due for next year & they(BA) have already started the development process.

Yep: just go to casual mode and I believe its a button press from there to change it to spectator mode.

Not really to do with the game but having problems with the demo since it's been on steam i think as i dint have this problem before then... when sorting through my teams/players my GPU goes nuts! 100% activity and 80'C+ seen it go to 100'C. I have more than enough to run the full game when its out but just wondered if anyone has experienced anything like this? It's only with this game tho other games like CIV V + Arma 2 + 3 run perfectly well. Sorry if this is in wrong place.

Can you explain to me that when I play a simple shot (without holding any triggers and on the front foot), why does my player always hit it in the air...then gets usually caught in the deep...my timing is fine as well.....Any tips would be appreciated :thumbs

It may appear as if your timing is fine, but try to play the ball later. This might not feel right but it will keep the ball down and is the best way to play.
