Because as Pingusten said, in a football game, you pick your side and play a game of football. Nothing more, nothing less. PES will have the English league as well (not licensed I know, but still).

You can go and play in a league then, or do something that has got a prolonged game mode in the game, master league etc. Do both.

What I meant by clutching at straws was that you are trying to find fault with it. I'm more excited about Fifa as well, but you can't just dismiss PES on the evidence of a couple of trailers.

Woah Woah Woah. I have to say, this looks a bloody brilliant year for Football Titles, this new PES looks superb, the Champions League license just makes the game look even better. Going to be awesome playing a proper Champions League without shelling out for a seperate money spinning version. This is going to be fantastic. I'm possibly more excited about this than Fifa tbh.

This is excellent. Now FIFA won't lay back knowing the fact that PES is nowhere good enough.

What looks good about the CL mode is that on the video the team winning the trophy at the end looked like a created team that one would use in Master League. So this means that we can probably import our Master League team into the CL mode or maybe even import Merseyside Blue in there as well.

Hopefully you'll be able to play CL friendlies online. Really looking forward to this now, going to add it to my massive pre-order list. That's 3 games on there now, 2 football titles :p

Good work chaps as always.

My pre-order list is Pes 09 and Fm 09 thus far. Although i will be adding GTA 4 to that and Street Fighter 4 as the months go by. Fifa will be played, although i am yet undecided on whether i will purchase it.

Oh yeah I forgot about FM. Although I never actually 'purchase' them to be honest.

You gettin PES on PS3 or 360 Gas?

Pc mate, i don't have a console.

As for Fm, you know I'm the biggest pirate going, but if its a Pc game i like a lot i always feel obliged to buy it, especially considering the level of user support you get from Sports Interactive.
