Pro Evolution Soccer 2009

POINT NOTED!

Right anyway, I still believe PES is the daddy of football games. And as this is a PES thread i'm free to mention that as often as I want. If you don't agree with it then I have absolutely no problem with that whatsoever. If you feel you can't resist the urge to argue with that point then unlucky, go do it somewhere else.

And btw that option file I showed earlier is expected to be released in time for the game's release on Friday. That is pretty astonishing work.

I don't know how many times I have to say point noted before you actually notice that your point has been noted.

And now you're the one who has brought FIFA into it again. Just leave it out.

I can claim what I want. I think PES is the daddy of football gaming. If you disagree with my claims you can easily ignore it or just leave the thread. It's hilarious how easily it winds you up when someone dares question FIFA and argue against PES being awful. There's more minds in the world than yours Rob.

I know you were doing it to wind people up lol.

Point noted. Although if one gets wound up by me saying things like that then one should consider getting out more.

Just a word in for people getting the game on Friday for either PC or PS3 - you're advised to register your 'KONAMI ID' now so there servers dont take too much of a beating on Friday. This is what you'll need to log onto the Online part of the game. 360 owners - you dont need to do this.

The registration is a pain, and you have to read the confusing instructions carefully. Dont forget to right down both your GAME ID and KONAMI ID, you'll need both. Once you get into the Lobby, you can then choose a name you will use for the rest of your time in the MP.

If anything ever deserved a :s, its this.

Let's hope there server troubles have gone this year too..

I know some of you PES-fanatics get a bit uptight about critism of the game, but this has got to be the worst PES yet, or so the Demo looks.

The running lines feel like a 1997 game, with about 8 differnt directions and thats it, the 360 degree of a control pad feels like it isn't used.

Goals are far too easy to score, especially with the defence finding that dropping back is the key to win, or lose as it is every game.

Overall, not impressed, Konami need to work harder to get my money. FIFA are the kings of football, especially next-gen.

Good game. Major problem so far is the opposition have had a player sent off in all of the 3games I've played for slide tackles that are borderline yellows.

If only Konami could do this one fix. The players seem to run with zero ground friction unless there happens a collision. If only they can fix that, or leave room for us to fix that! :) This would make a fantastic football game then really. (I wouldn't mind some good stadium graphics and lighting either. :D)

Some very interesting news out of WENB - they're option file is being delayed until the weekend after release for reasons they 'cannot yet disclose'.

The main rumour is that KONAMI are releasing a transfers patch on the day of release, to ensure all of the summer signings are in the final game. This of course affects all there progress with the option file, which is a big shame.

Anyway, rumours galore in this blog entry.
