Pro Evolution Soccer 2009

Also, it's funny how the PC gamers are the ones being biased towards PES 09... Got a vengeance against EA because they neglected you before?

I hate EA anyway. They ruined my favourite multiplayer game of all time in Battlefield 2, and buy up rival companies if they produce something that may be a threat to there francises. They've seen the success of GTAIV for example and cried about that, so they bought TakeTwo so as to reap in the rewards from the upcoming PC version and future editions.

Anyway, back on topic.

I'm liking the look of the AI off the ball, which was only partially integrated in 2008. Plus the Be a Legend thingy which looks like they have worked on since WE11. Also it'll be nice to have some 2v2 again, even though I'm still working up the PES6 rankings in that respect. Looks like a great formula to me; the new editions and fixes to 2008, and the old fantastic gameplay of the previous editions.

Wow. Two people have partially played an unfinished version of the game and don't like it very much. I'm definitely not buying this now.

Lets just wait and see, its hard to judge a game by watching a few minutes of video, and basing it on a person's opinion, who in himself will base it on his opinions. We cannot judge this, Fifa or any other game until its been released or we play final code. All this is hearsay for now.

I don't care, i'm still buying both games like I have done for the past 7 years. Why's that so hard for you to understand? For someone who doesn't like PES you sure spend a lot of time talking about it and trying to encourage people to play FIFA instead. If people want to play PES then let them, it's not gonna make you lose any sleep at night.

Unfinished? It's a few weeks from release and this is the version being shown at the most important games convention of the year - I don't think even Konami are stupid enough to display a very crap unfinished version of a game only for the final version to be class... As someone else on Evo-Web said:
"OK, I must address this "they played an early build" argument. It's simply BS! Like people have mentioned, why would you shoot yourself in the foot. It would be the equivalent of a face moisturizer company showing up to a beauty convention with a moisturizer that burns your skin, only to later say, well, that's not the finished product!"

You're clutching at straws if you think that the finished version will be much better than what we have seen...

To be honest, I couldnt care about there opinions. I make my own mind up when the two demos are released in the next month or so. And how come so many people on Evo Webs got into one of the most high profile shows in the gaming calendar...? Most of the demo stands are closed and I though PES 2009 was an exibition only? Correct me if I'm wrong, which is probable.

I may have said this earlier, but I'm looking forward to this years Fifa, i do every year in the hope that i will like it so i will get to use its excellent licences, and control the mighty bristol rovers.

However, the game will need to feel different to previous versions in order for me to buy it. I still hope though. :)

Oh well, you're losses if you buy PES, both time and money ;).

At least I can happily play FIFA 09 knowing that I am playing the best football game available while others are playing a shoddy mess of another arcade game in PES 09 :).

I'll give PES10 a chance, in the hope that the "complete overhaul" rejuvinates the series, but 3 failures in a row (6, 08, 09) does not give me much confidence in that.I thought Leipzig was open to the public? Not sure, anyway I trust them that they have played it, neither are trolls who would get a kick out of lying about going to a games conference...

Lol jesus dude give it a rest.
