An idea shamelessly stolen from CW. I missed out on the sign-up over there, so thought I'd start one up here.

As opposed to the normal, conventional draft where you're open to pick anyone from any country, this draft involves picking a player from 1 specific country per round. So as a basic example, the first Country randomly selected (we'll do just the Top 8 Test countries, no Bangladesh or Zimbabwe), are New Zealand. You then go through the whole round of picks picking players from that 1 country. At the end of the round the country changes and you continue until everyone has a team of 11 players.

Who's up for it? Looking at about 8 active, knowledgable posters =] So give a shout if you're interested, and I'll pick 8 posters to take part.

Sounds interesting. Will we have done all the nations by round 8 or is it all to chance? I'm just hoping we don't have two rounds of Sri Lanka. They only have Sangakkara and Muralitharan that would make a World XI.

Is this all time or time specific? All time could work in this type of draft where each country has an entire round.

If Zorax misses one of his turns that you might as well count him out. He gave up in the subcontinent draft after that happened.

Will keep sign-ups open until midnight, after that I'll pick the 8 guys who'll take part, set up the draft order and we'll be off. Looking forward to seeing how this plays out, it's something a little different to the normal, and over-done all-time 'Test/ODI' drafts.

If posting time is 24 hours count my name in contenders.

Well, it was more than that. I was far behind after a pick and I didn't have them time to continue with it properly.

I'll be able to keep up with this. I think :p
