Review Review for IC 2010 in comparison to AC09

As I have said many times before, it's the low expectations people on here have for cricket games that is the issue. There are, however, a number of people who are rather more concerned with the commercial success of the game, probably on account of links to Codies/Trickies - I'd regard their glowing tributes to the game as totally disingenuous.

And what are you concerned with in all honesty?

Well firstly it's nice of you to imagine that we're important enough to affect the commerical success of the game. Our links with Codies/Trickstar have always been about trying to help them make a cricket game for cricket fans which surely has to be a laudable intention. If you read my AC09 review I don't think I could be accused of cosying up to game developers and credit to Codies and TMG that they came to us and said help us fix it.
The idea that anything I write will a/ be influenced by my dialogue with Trickstar/Codies or will b/ have any influence on global sales are both insulting and flattering at the same time so thank you.
Low expectations come from the dross we have been served up year on year since BLC99. This forum reads 80% disappointment after the release of every cricket game I can remember. This one is different for some reason - let's celebrate that and make sure that IC11 is even better by providing constructive and relevant feedback.
I know the guys from Codies and Trickstar read these threads and jumping up and down and making lots of noise isn't the best way to get noticed. Now stop bragging about how wonderful you are and start providing quality feedback on how they can take the game forward.

No, it would just be nice for you to see the other side of the argument instead of just flaming the people who come to post against you. Your so called 'best education from the top university in the world' should at one point in time have taught you to view both sides of an argument.

Another interesting thing to note is that because Dutchy agreed with me he is a sheep, but wendalboy who agrees with you is not. Double Standards?

I don't recall 'flaming' anybody, there are a whole load of you and one of me, if you feel outnumbered in my presence, I'll take that as a huge plus. I saw the other side of the argument and gave my response, if you don't like it, respond with a counterargument, if you can. A good education does not include pandering to the most populist line.

As for double standards, wendalboy wrote a paragraph in response, you and your partner in sheepville seem to think that a cheap one-liner constitutes a coherent and detailed response.

Why don't you resist the temptation to appeal to the masses, refrain from your condescension and try to address the points/feedback I have provided ?

Or is it easier to avoid because the truth hurts ?

Dear oh dear oh dear!:facepalm:laugh

Well that's universities for you!

Anyone else done with the clown?

Don't feed the troll.

And what are you doing exactly ? I am still waiting for something constructive, game-related, preferable something that takes up more than one line.

Keep the names coming.

I'm so sorry. That must be my bourgeois instincts. :sarcasm
The only point you seem to have made is that not every ball goes for 6 when you time it perfectly. I'm afraid your points might have got lost amidst all the ranting.
Perhaps you could provide some additional cogent paradigms?

I was talking about dutchad but I can see how you thought I was talking about you.

God listen to yourself. I do not care if they sell 10 million or 1 million copies, but if they get a great engine and no preset animations. Yes i no they have preset animations. I have seen it also, i dont thing its as bad as you make out but its there sometimes. Then they will want to make there money back fast. Not trickstar so much but codemasters. They will push hard for that, all bosses do. ps why dont you go to codemasters, trickstar and tell them this and see want they say.:spy

Whose ranting, yours ? Like I said, you have plenty to chew over.

Not your approval that's for sure.

As I masticate away perhaps you could reiterate your points in a bit more detail. I have a review to write so maybe I could start by telling you my issues with the game?
