We are dominating in this match with both bat and ball. A very impressive performance by the team and am sure that the coach will be very pleased to see that.
Leicestershire 554 for 5 declared, South Africa A 131 for 8, Day 2 Close
Some more great bowling from the foxes have seen the South African A team some 423 runs adrift of the Foxes first innings score with only 2 wickets left.
Some more slow batting may have started to frustrate the Leicestershire bowlers but eventually Suren Ram, bought back into the attack by Holden, got his man Jacobs for 7 off 60 balls. Hill took the catch at square leg, after Jacobs had been late on playing the pull. Ram bowled very well over the session and has bowled 11 overs for 26. And he has been rewarded with 2 wickets. On the other hand Chez Spin hasn't been so lucky after some great bowling he is yet to pick up a wicket.
The other two wickets have come from the captain Ollie Holden who has bowled exceptionally well with 3-16 off 14 overs. He got the wicket of the man who has looked the most settled at the crease : Duminy. He got him with the other one which spins away from the batsman. Duminy missed the ball, hit him on the pads and the ball sneaked through to hit the stumps. This was a welcome relief for the foxes after Duminy and Henderson had looked quite decent at the crease.
His 2nd wicket of the session was that of Paul Adams who mistimed a straight drive completely as he just floated the ball into the hands of Arslaan Khalid at Mid Off.
At the crease currently is Henderson and Zondeki, it will be up to Henderson to score as many runs as quickly as possible with only Willoughby to come.
As for the other bowlers, well Avroneel Biswas has yet to have any success 0-28, and Hill is still the most economical of the bowlers with 8 overs, 5 maidens, 1-3. The Keeper has done well taking some decent high balls. But in the space of just 9 balls he conceded 12 byes, as he had a momentary lapse of concentration. All 3 balls went under his gloves for 4 byes.
The foxes will be looking to wrap the tail up asap, and then we shall see whether the skipper enforces the follow on.
