Leicestershires Pre season tour gets underway with a Twenty20 game against Pakistan A. Both teams are playing a strong side with Umar Gul picked for Pakistan 'A' along with Saqlain Mushtaq and Kamran Akmal. Leicestershire will still be confident with two Twenty20 cup titles under their belt along with two other finals day visits. This game promises to be a thriller and it will be interesting to see how it all pans out.

Squads:
HD Ackerman - Imran Nazir
J Allenby - Imran Farhat
J Sadler - Hasan Raza
J Snape - Mohammad Hafeez
P Nixon - Yasir Hameed
J Maunders - Asim Kamal
C Henderson - Azhar Mahmood
D Masters - Kamran Akmal
S Broad - Saqlain Mushtaq
G Kruger - Mohammad Akmal
C Langeveldt - Umar Gul

The toss was won By Leicestershires Snape who decided to Bat first on the Flat karachi wicket. Snape went on to say " The wicket looks very dry and dusty so we think ti will detriorate as the innings progresses. So if we can get up to 150 we shoudl have a good chance."

Leicestershires Have made a strong start despite losing 4 wickets. HD Ackerman has raced to 49 off 28 balls but has lost support on the way with the further 4 batsmen following him failing to make double figures. Maunders has managed a well made 18 of 12 balls adding to a valuable partnership. Leicestershires strong runrate has meant that 170 is a viable target but it will be interesting to see how they handle the Pakistani spin.

Pakistan 'A' have fielded well and arguably been unlikely with some of the Leicestershire strokeplay. This was shown in the 10th over where Ackerman manged to just clear the Long on fielder. However, thye have been very sucessful especially Gul whos pace has looked damaging with him beating Snape for pace causing him to top edge and Salder who failed to pick the in swinger.

With Ackerman playing like he is and Gul having used up all his overs if we get a partnership we could reach 160 but with our tail its unlikely, great pres mate!
