Since ic 2010 will not be released on pc.

what non sense dude after the game is installed the person will make parts of it and if required copy the registry entries and make a batch of it and rar it and then upload it on torrents and rapidshare and people will download it make dvds of it print fake labels put it in polythene
tada it is ready for sale:doh

Yeah this is true and I appreciate the explanation than calling it twaddle... It was just a suggestion btw... thanks once again for the explanation

i think codemasters are not releasing ic2010 on pc is because its just a patched version of ac09 and they have already released the patches for pc

There's more to it than that. As John said in the interview, piracy and low sales make a PC version uneconomical. I hope they release on PS3/Xbox 360 first and then port it later.

You are right to some extent but they can minimise their losses if a good copy right protection procedure is implemented. Surely people will find a way to play offline but they would have trouble playing online if you need some sort of CD key to play online. If you are a real true cricket fan then playing just offline is not really satisfying, you skills are really tested in online mode.

I am glad though it is not released on PC, I believe they lost lots of money with their AC09 PC version. Can you imagine the money they would have made by selling it legal copies in India and Pakistan even if it was sold at half the price than UK and Australia?

It was sold for 11$ U.S. in India , and not sold in Pakistan for the lack of distributers/Piracy etc. but still the game got pirated in both the countries. Its only fair that the next iteration gets a Console exclusive release this time. (Even if its priced at 60$ U.S.)

Stupid pirates would be off the console this time around.

Even at $11 US, India is a monster market for a cricket game. I thought with proper CD keys they would have made a lot of money out it.

world most popular expensive game..250 employees worked for over 3years.. GTA 4 released in india for Rs.499/- recently i bought GTA 4:EFLC for Rs.399/- if this is possible for Rockstar then defenetly possible for codemasters too

GTA is far more popular than Cricket games. Take Two makes a lot of money with GTA, so money lost to pirates doesn't pinch them as much.

Pirates could play AC09 online...there is no sense to complain about bad guys untill your copy protection is strong enough to atleast not allow them to play online. bad guys are doing only bad ████ even if you give this game for free of cost still pirates buy pirated copy:doh(its a habit). But its real harsh for not releasing PC version and big insult for genuine PC gamers (especially from India) as an Indian i bought AC09 twice but people use to say here Indians are pirates
Codies you cannot sucess untill you protect some strong DRM

hey guys could not we convert ps3 format to pc ...........there may be lot of converting softwares available online...........
