South Africa in Australia

Nice build up.

Ricky Ponting has given his match-winners, Shane Warne and Glenn McGrath, a licence to continue their verbal assault on South Africa despite ever more hysterical warnings from the International Cricket Council.

Didn't know McGrath was sick. And I hope Kallis will play, but it doesn't seem like it will.

Australia sweats on McGrath's fitness

At the moment we dont need a pshychologist, we need another phsyio! Look at how big our injury list is at the moment.... Anyway I hope that everyone is fit for the test on Friday.
Yeah,I heard that we had so many injuries in the one match that we had to get the physio to go and field..............and he dropped someone!

From what i heard Ntini is still likely to play. The only one doubtful is Kallis which will be a massive blow because he is the no.1 batsman in the world. Hope both Ntini and Kallis play.

Yeah, even though Kallis looks like a Cave man he still is a really great bat.I doubt SF would get anywhere near Aus without him.Good to hear Ntini will prolly play.

Yaeah I got to go to the WACA today as a part of this super eight s thing(8 people a side) with my district team.
An Mcgrath came and talked to us and u could tell his throat was bad.
I got to se the SAs train aswell beforei went home.

I too think there is something a little caveman about Kallis. I think it's just he seems to have an enormous chest.

is kallis suffering from a tennis elbow ?
I hope it is not as bad as the one Sachin suffered from !
Tennis elbow seems to be affecting cricketers more than tennis players these days !
High time it gets renamed `batsman`s elbow` or `Cricket Elbow` !

You spoke to McGrath. That was pretty cool. Didn't you take pictures of him? Or the South African team? I certainly would have.

And I like the Aussie news.

I don't Kallis will start reading from this. And reading from this Rudolph won't even start if Kallis doesn't make it.

Kallis an unlikely starter

And Warne could break Lillee's record tomorrow.

Lillee hopes to lose record

de Villers shouldn't play, he hasn't got much form and I don't think that he is mentally ready for the verbal attack from the Aussies yet. Kemp I can understands as being in the side, just another bowling option for us as Kallis is likely to be out. Rudolph has had some brilliant form in the domestic season so far and deserves to start.

I have also heard that Dippenaar is on standby to go over if anyone else is injured or if he is otherwise needed. Looking at his form in his first match back after injury things are looking very bleak for him.

De VIlliers should still be given a go despite not having a good start to the tour. He is a great talent and can easily fire just like many other potential batsmans.

Talented yes, form not so good. Deserving of a start yes. My main worry would be if they start sledging him, I don't think that he is mentally strong enough to handle it.
Fanie de Villiers was saying in a cricket program today that Aus creates casualties, not injuries, but mental casualties. I don't really think that he is ready for it yet. But he won't get used to it by not playing, so there I go and contradict myslef
