South Africa's tour of Bangladesh - July/August 2015

We need a new go to man. Dale Steyn just isnt fast enough to scare the opposition, the Bangladeshis are playing him with ease. Who should we pick? I'd still go for Dane over Kagiso, the man took apart every team in the Sunfoil Series, put him in for Harmer and have Duminy as the main spinner...

The rain is disappointing. Test was nicely poised.

Hopefully it relents so Dale can get his 400th thought.

Funny I think the rain saved us, I feel we can easily have another batting collapse, we all know how well we do under pressure...

The bowlers were tortured enough to have to deal with one AB de Villiers. Now, there are two.

Congratulations to my hero and the best batsman in the world! :cheers

Test side has been consistent for a long time , one poor innings doesn't mean they would fail again. Would have Steyn & co to defend 250/300...

Can one of you SA fans explain the selection of Temba Bavuma over Rilee Rossouw?

South Africa need to build for the future. At the moment- India, Australia, England and New Zealand all have a batsman in their mid 20's well and truly established in world cricket with bazooka size futures. All four of them are either Vice Captains or Captains already. One of SA's biggest strength in the test environment once Kallis and Smith retired was the fact that Amla and de Villiers were already a force in World Cricket. At the moment, they're all the same age and are going to leave a massive void in 4-5 years.

IF Bavuma is the answer to future SA batting, then I'm a bit worried for them. Or is this a Philander, Abbott type WC semi final selection?

Genuinely lost on this!

Might as well add that Bavuma has played well in the domestic circuit, he has promise and I personally like him but he isnt stand out amongst the other domestic batsmen but his colour was obviously a factor and a big one at that. He did score a 50 in the last game so we just have to see how he plays, would certainly help South Africa to have a decent African batsmen in our line up for the next few years...

How does anything other than ABILITY matter? I thought SA would have learnt after the WC. Shame to me if color of the skin determines positions in any walk of life. And, if Bavuma had shown the talent Rossouw did, I would be backing him. What I saw of him, didn't look international level. Anyway, these topics are quite useless discussing.

Yea welcome to South Africa, where colour is more important then ability...

Another wash out ... if I was more cynical I may have actually accused BCB of deliberately arranging three tests in the monsoon so they could get away with draws.

I dont think BD or anyone would do such a deed - too noble and nice. Only BCCI is capable of such evil

So who is the bright spark that thought it was a good idea to hold a test series in the monsoon season? This is rather pointless...
