Joe, if you think La Liga is slower paced than the Premiership then I think you have dodgy eyes. The Premiership is a slow and boring league, typical English.

:D

Slow and boring league?

You're funny. Can we keep him?

To be fair it is a lot do with watching it on fanzone ;) but i still think it's slower :p
it is slower than the EPL but thats because you are not allowed to pay like that. la liga requires more of passing, skill, and creativity. someone like pennant who is so effective in england will struggle big time in spain because his main strength is his pace.

also team to team, la liga is stronger. sociedad would beat any of the bottom 10 teams in the premiership.

Sorry, I meant in comparison to La Liga. Must have missed that part out. Silly me. :o

No, that's wrong. Premiership and Spanish play at a similar pace. Italian football is the much slower league.

James, the Premiership is nowhere near La Liga's pace. True, in games like Arsenal vs Utd it's very fast paced but when you have say Bolton vs Wigan it isn't very fast paced. Whereas in Spain every game is fast-paced and attack, attack, attack.

The Premiership is regarded as the fastest league in world football. Closely followed by Spain.

You're thinking of Italian.

Italian football is just plain boring but that's not even the argument here, i'm saying Spain is the fastest and best league in the world.

i think they both are at the same pace...maybe some little games like Watford Vs Wigan are a bit slow but apart from that they are pretty fast...

You've watched every single game ever?

Italian football is slow.

Spanish football is silky and fast.

Premiership is fast but strong.

La Liga and EPL are pretty much even imo. Both have qualities the other doesn't but both are very entertaining leagues.

Dull game in madrid ended 0-0. Robinho is playing poor recently and that is hurting Real big time. But still Im optimistic about the CL game since Bayern themselves are struggling in Germany.

Robinho has surprised me in a lot of aspects. I was never expecting him to be the Number One in Spain but you'd expect with his pace he'd still trouble sides at times even in bad games, but he just isn't doing anything noteworthy.

He is not doing anything. Reyes should start instead of him.

Not much better, but an improvement.

Becks was fired up last night, though it was a bad challenge I don't really think it was a red, the player over-reacted a tad. Unless the Bernabeu has snipers of course.

Valencia beat Barca 2-1 despite having only 38% of ball possession. But dont go too much into that as the Valencia goalkeeper was hardly tested. Barca's only goal came late late on form Ronaldinho. Albelda and Deco were sent off.

The madrid derby is the pick of the games this weekend. Takes place tonight at the Calderon. Madrid are only four points behind Sevilla and Barca but are without Ramos, Carlos, Emerson and Diarra for this game. Cassano has been named in the squad though.

And people have recently been criticising Ronaldinho for being overweight and hence ineffective. Just for the record he is a midfielder and has scored 16 goals already this season. I think he is not as dangerous this season because of the internal problems at Barca and the teamwork that we got to see last season is no longer visible. But its foolish to blame Ronaldinho for that.
