Guillem Balaque is a self-confessed Basque fan and I have never heard him say anything good about Real Madrid. (except for Raul)

Nothing special so far. Had a few chances, and overall dominated the game really so deserve the lead. Riera has been good on the left flank although I am not very comfortable with Alonso in midfield, when Senna is already there. Santi might have not regained full fitness, otherwise he would certainly started.

Expect the Basque to be brought on in the second half and it will be interesting to see how he does.

I actually prefer playing El Guaje alone upfront and El Nino can be used as a substitute whenever needed.

EDIT: Santi is ON. Yeah!!

Boy, doesnt Santi bring so much more to the game. His goal might have been off a lucky deflection but he certainly deserved one. El Nino's goal was class as well.

Chile are a good side though, and its no surprise really why they did so well against Argentina.

Lovely to see the scum concede in the 95th minute. They were lucky not to have on several occasions before, so I dont care if the penalty was fair or not.

Anyways, Barca did manage to scrape a goal in the end, but its still a good weekend for us, because all the other teams around us dropped points.

Higuain is out for the BATE game, so maybe a start for Bueno, although I think Schuster wont risk him just yet and play Saviola instead.

Anyways glad to be through to the knockout round, and we got Getafe, Sevilla, Valencia, Barcelona and Villarreal coming up in the league. Make or break part of the season imo. Need Cannavaro back in defence though so that Ramos can return to his right back position.

Defence is shocking. Our good players are seriously underperforming, especially Casillas. He is probably having his worst season since the 2001-02 season where he lost his place to Cesar. Trouble is our backup keeper now is rubbish. Gago was also poor today and once again the entire midfield depends on Guti who I think is being over-worked.

Sevilla to beat Barca now and then we have to beat Sevilla in the next game.
