Sri Lanka in England 2011

Another Indian fan who feels the need to de-rail every thread and create it to 'India vs everyone else.'

Another chest -thumping English fan, who start hailing their players as ATG after he achieved only little.

Too me Gilchrist is the best. And Dhoni > Prior.

I mean don't you guys have little bit shame as hailing Prior as the greatest wicket-keeper batsman. How deluded you could be ?

yep ollie thats just how it goes on most forums sadly. Back to the topic on hand, this is going to be the first Test at the Rose Bowl, and it looks like the weather might have a say grrrr. Will Broad be playing??

And on the matter of Foster, I am a massive fan, I have seen him play in person and behind those stumps he is a genius. :clap

Please enlighten me as to how I ever claimed he was the greatest WKB ever? No other English fan who has posted after me, has claimed him to be the 'best WKB ever' either. That was all purely statistics which I dont like to solely base an arguement on. All I did was read and post the blog post and you with your ever growing Indian arrogance about how it's the centre of the world and every thread has to be drawn back to them.

It's alright, just carry on jumping on false statements and trolling. (Y).

Well then why did you disagree with me when i said Dhoni > Prior ?

I know this classical way of English trolling. I used to spend some time on BBC 606. First make an outrageous claim, and when proved wrong and ridiculed, play victim card.

Yeah because I'm known as one of the biggest trolls of the on the forum! (Y). Great argument.

The fact I was genuinely surprised when I read that blog post and read it and posted it here shows a lot.

Because I don't really think Dhoni is better than Prior. I dont rate Dhoni particularly highly as a player but he continues to prove me wrong, which doesn't particularly bother me. I think he is a great leader but I'd much rather watch Prior bat than Dhoni.

If you don't rate Dhoni, that doesn't mean he is not better than Prior.

I never rated Warne because of his mediocre record against India. That didn't mean Kumble was better than Warne.

Well if I don't rate Dhoni, then I PERSONALLY don't believe he is better than Prior do I?

So you are implying that Mahendra Dhoni is the great wicketkeeper-batsman ever?!

Dhoni is not playing for either team that this thread is about. Let's return to the topic. Then if the troll persists, we can report him.

The topic is, as has been observed, Sri Lanka in England. It's also not up to members to make references to other people trolling. It never helps the situation and just puts peoples' backs up. If you have a concern please report the post.

Back on topic I reckon we could solve a lot of the water shortage problems in England at the moment by arranging test matches there. Forecast for the Rose Bowl is rain for the first two days at least.
Don't know what the pitch will be like but I'd be tempted to experiment a bit before the India series especially with Dilshan missing the game. Maybe go with 5 bowlers or drop Broad for Finn.

If I'm honest, this series has been ridicously dull. Apart from the last session in Cardiff, there's nothing to write home about. What happened to the seaming conditions from last year?

Anderson for Finn, straight swap. That'll be it.

Today I think will be a half day play or so, though we've only been having rain for a few days and not too heavy, but April and June have swapped months for this year. Nigh on 30C down South in April.

Tomorrow is going to be awful and you can expect showers on days 3 and 4 too from what I've seen.

Rose Bowl has been producing some good cricket wickets over the last year or so, away from it's reputation as a poor batting wicket all those years ago.

It'll be a massive shame if they cannot have a full Test match on their first ever game.

what brought last summer alive was aamir and asifs bowling, ably supported by anderson. there are no quality bowlers on show atm if im being totally honest. anderson will be back for the test so fingers crossed. but i see england taking this series.
