Sri Lanka kept their fast record from yesterday's play scoring at over 10 an over. But as Atapattu lost his wicket to a spinning delivery from Harbhajan they only scored about 4 an over for the remaining of the session.

Sri Lanka will now just try get the Required Run Rate for the next two sessions.

Sri Lanka started the second session of the day well scoring a fairly good run rate. They were clearly on top, until Harbhajan Singh was introduced into the attack. They lost 2/8 including 1 wicket in the last over of the session.

Sri Lanka will have a tough job ahead of them scoring at a run rate of 4.26 runs an over

India set Sri Lanka a target of 741 runs, in a maximum of 94 overs. Sri Lanka reached the target with 5 wickets in hand, and 6.5 overs to spare.

Sri Lanka batted well through the first 2 sessions of their last innings, they were goin at a Run Rate of 11.38 Runs Per Over going into their last 2 sessions. The spinners bowled very good for India drying up the runs, whilst taking wickets. Harbhajan Singh was the best of the Indian bowlers, taking 3 wickets for 117, and an economy rate of 6.5 runs per over. Tendulkar and Singh were the key to the final two sessions, and even though they couldn't stop the rampaging Sri Lankans they definetly were the shining light to the Indian Bowling Figures.

Sanath Jayasuriya was the hi-light for the Sri Lankan Batting Card scoring 422* (285). That the was highest score ever made in the history of International cricket, beating the previous best score of 380 by Matthew Hayden
