Stop Lee before 'someone dies'

If you're an international cricketer, you have to have enough control to bowl a yorker from a beamer. It's not like you've just taken up the game. As for slipping, its understandable why he is bowling them, but he can definitely take precautionary measures against them. He is NOT required to go out there and bowl as fast as he can, especially if he can critically injure someone. Unfortunately, he'll probably only realize this after he has critically injured someone.

I think Lee needs to get a grip on himself. I do agree that chances of killing a person are slim, but the game is suppose to be fair.
Gone are the days when cricket was a gentlemen's game.

I dont think he is going to injure someone, but there is a slight possibility of that happening because he is doing it quite frequently. One thing is for sure, if he is made to restrict himself, he will lose confidence as well as pace, which are critical for a genuine fast bowler. I think that will only cut-off this unique dimension of cricket (pace).

The ball just slipped...sure he is an international cricketer, but these things happen. And besides, if he bowls two he'll be taken out of the attack.

LOL one of the Australian bowlers bowled McCullum a very high full toss in the third game. Not quite a beamer. McCullum hit it 1 hand into the stand.

Oh ffs you guys need a life.

Any bowler and I mean any bowler bowling at Brett Lee's pace will slip now and then, I have seen him do it twice this year, thats only 2 times out of how many balls do you think he has bowled?

But on the other hand I would hate to be on the end of one of these beamers, but its a sport and players do make mistakes.

Exactly.I'd prefer games like the last two New Zealand V Aussie games,if a beamer is the price, then so be it.
And what if the beamer(s) seriously injured the batsman and stopped his career?

I always wonder why only bowlers like Lee, Akhtar, Shabbir Ahmed, and Muralitharan make the news all the time?? Interesting!!

in one of the odi's before the ashes 2005, brett lee bowled a beamer to Marcus Trescothic, then said sorry straight away, and saw if he was ok, but the ball doesnt get like soap in england, and it was a warm day (20-24 degrees)
