T20 World Cup 2012

So I see Bangladesh beat South Africa too last night....anyone giving Bangladesh a hope in this tournament??

I think they have spinners who are more then capable to pull of an upset. Today against South Africa, their spinners were the main reason behind their win.

I was dissapointed with South Africa's batting , in the first match the scored over 209 with Hashim Amla scoring a magneficent innings of 88 and what happend to Africa playing with Zimbabwe and second match with Bangladesh , the really have done very bad batting . Is there only Amla who will play?

----------

If there forms will be like this then I am not sure that they will win the cup . They have to regain their fatigue and fitness to dominate .

----------

But this time Zimbabwe have a good chance to win if some major teams have low fatigue and fitness as Zimbabwe are fit to play .

----------

and even Bangladesh because Shakib Al Hasan is back in form again and since Nassir Hussain have joined international cricket , he have been totally dominating.

afghanistan will win insha allah from england

I like the spirit man. You're a true fan/patriot, personally I am not a supporter of Afghanistan but if they can put up a spirited fight in the cup it would be a win for every single person following cricket, the Afghans have been in turmoil for years now and just their appearance shows courage and grit.

West Indies all de way this time
the team which could be playing for the T20 world cup.
D Sammy (c)(BAT 10.68/ BALL 17.16), C Gayle (BAT 30.95/ BALL 21.16) , Dr Smith(BAT 20/ BALL 26.42), L Simmon (BAT 26.36/ BALL 9.16), J Charles (BAT: 29.50) , Dywane Bravo (BAT 25.58/ BALL 26.66), K Pollard (BAT 16.75/ BALL 36.09) , Ramdin( BAT 17.61) , A Russel (BAT: 7.66/ BALL 106), s Narine( No It20 wicket, Domestic BAT 7.66/BALL 14.65) , F Edwards ( BALL 29.92) , R Rampal (BALL 25.50), M Samuels( BAT 22.08/BALL 22.50) , A Badree No international Career.Domestic BALL 16.28/K Roach BALL 27.75 .

same way Narine give KKR a good luck, hopefully WI can get that luck.
Narine is one of Major included player from Past WI T20 world cup squad. Beside him J Charles, who so far had played 4 T20 score about 118 Run @ an avg of 29.50 with a S/R of 113.46, but would be hard for him to make the 11, because Dr Smith will play before him as an opening batsmen with Gayle, if not smith then Simmons will have that spot.

I think you forgot to write the name of highest wicket taker.

The way West Indies have played in the last few games. they are my favourites. Really hope there bowling comes good

And conversely I think it's fair to say that NZ SHOULDN'T be among the favourites :yes Their team just looks a bit talentless at present.

Although S Africa still have the chokers tag on them, on paper if their best side is actually picked, instead of token coloured players like Tsotsobe, Behrani (spell check), Ontong, Parnell - they could have a strong squad:

Levi
Kallis
Du Plessis
Duminy
De Villiers (c) +
Miller
A Morkel
Botha
Peterson
M Morkel
Steyn

Ingram
Van Der Merwe
De Lange/McClaren
Vilas

SA are making the same mistake like AUS, by picking a slow batsman like Amla in T20s. David Miller is being criminally overlooked in this format. Tsotsobe constantly still being picked ahead of better bowling options like McLaren.

I don't know why do you want McLaren in the team? He is nothing special. He has strike rate around 108 and hasn't done wonders with ball as well. I would prefer Tsotsobe over him. He can be very useful with his off and leg cutters.

I hear you, but just be careful with what you're saying...

As for Tsotsobe, he is currently the #1 ranked ODI bowler on the ICC rankings, if anyone deserves a spot it's him. The other guys you've listed, not so much, but Tsotsobe definitely DOES deserve a spot.
