Yes, both of them are so bad. But there is big hope in the upcoming films of both Ajith and Vijay. Ajith is doing his next with Gautham Menon (the Kaakha Kaakha, Vettaiyadu Vilayadu director) and Vijay is doing his next with AR Murugadoss (the super duper successful Thuppakki combination, this time with Anirudh and Samantha).

If they balance out the mindless masala's like Veeram/Jilla with good commercial films, probably it'd be fine for us.

Movies i am looking forward to this year are Madhavan's Irudhi Sutru, Surya's Anjaan and Siddharth's Jigridhanda. Also Kamal's Vishwaroopam 2

I am not that keen on Anjaan. Vettai was an ordinary film from Lingu last time, and from the stills so far, it looks like Baasha re-incarnated. Lingu has a crush for Baasha, and it seems he wants to make his version.

If Ajith-Gautham film comes out this year, that one along with Vijay-Murugadoss will be the two most anticipated films of the year. Vijay-Murugadoss will surely come for Diwali (Thuppakki was a Diwali blockbuster too). If Mani Ratnam announces his next film and brings it out this year, for me that would become the most anticipated.

I think you're so biased when it comes to Mani Ratnam and ARR. Kadal was not good.

Mani Ratnam has announced that he is going to do a flim with Nagarjuna and Mahesh Babu which will release in Telugu,Tamil & Hindi.

There has been no announcement of that sorts yet. There is rumors floating around that he is doing a Tamil-Telugu bilingual with Mahesh Babu where Aishwaraya Rai and Sruthi Haasan are playing major roles.

But nothing official. And Mani Sir never announces his films officially. He just starts them, and we understand that as the official word.

Considering the kind of work both of them have did, I am not the only one who is biased towards them. I actually liked Kadal. I didn't like Raavanan. Before that, I loved all of his works.

Finally got some time to watch Veeram didn't expect a telugu movie dubbed in tamil it was that horrible being a thala fan even I couldn't watch the romance portions santhanam and thambi ramiah were the only plus points. Vidharth deserved more screen presence in the film. DSP as usual a torchure. my score 2/5
p.s. there were only five people while watching veeram

Endrendrum punnagai was an average film were vinay and santhanam the only saviors it would have been cool if the director had shown jeeva-trisha in a better way overall for vinay and santhanam 3/5

Biriyani - man one hell of a film uma riyaz as Hitwoman was terrific mandy thakkar was hot the way karthi thinks in the film was just mind blowing the best part was the climax I would rate the best film of 2013 next to vishwaroopam ang give it 4/5 (sadly I torrented this movie).I also wonder why critics rated the movie okay and couldn't survive the pongal storm.

This is a spectacular and stylish teaser and it has great music. KUDOS to Karthik Subburaj. Waiting for the film. Today is the release of Velaiyilla Pattadhari music. Anirudh's album, it had some good bgm in the trailer. So good news.

Wow! Siddharth is just awesome as he has been in all the movies he has acted in tamil. One of my all time favorite hero!

Velaiyilla Pattadhari title song is a RIPPPEERRRR. Greatly energetic. Gotta hear other songs in the album.

I didn't like the teaser of Jigarthanda. Looked very artificial, especially the narrator of the teaser. And to me, Siddarth doesn't suit action. He is a very one dimensional actor who will only suit only romantic roles.

Stay away from Ithu Kathirvelanin Kadhal. Dubious and boring to the core. No comedy what so ever, a very melodramatic artificial story line and horrible screenplay. Songs are average but we have heard the same tunes a lot of times by Harris himself in his previous albums. I would rate the movie 0.5/5.
