Splendid work by AR Rahman in "Kochadaiiyaan". Marana theri album!!! Top class stuff! Pick of the lot - "Idhayam", "Manapennin Sathiyam (female and male versions)", "Rana's Dream" and "Karma Veeran".

This guy never ceases to amaze! And for Rajnikanth, this is a superlative album, way better than Endhiran.

Kochadaiiyaan album is different and as always soothing to listen to because of the man Allah Rakha Rahman. Hats off. I loved Matram Onrudhan very much. All songs are equally good but the lyrics of this one was brilliant.

Mannapennin Sathiyam is mind blowing. Just blown away by both the male and female version.
Medhuvagathan is cool.

Kochadaiyaan songs are good but the animation, well heard a lot of criticisms on the animation. The trailer reminded me of video games and cartoons in POGO:facepalm

I actually loved the trailer. It was a different attempt. If you dig too deep, you can find flaws in most of the successful films. But to me, the attempt is sincere and there is a lot of commercial elements in the trailer to keep the Rajnikanth fan mighty excited.

I have also seen the clip of the Rudhra Thandavam sequence that was shown as part of the audio launch (its been circulating since yday in FB and Twitter). OUTSTANDING!! That alone would be worth the price of a ticket or two to the theatre.

Its sure the crew has done a sincere attempt on Kochadaiyyan, which is obvious from the number of times they changed the release date to improve the quality. But I would say the efforts didn't gave desired results.

I think you are a Rajni Fan.
I also watched the trailer the animation quality was not up-to the notch. They got only the face of Rajnikanth perfectly(Deepika's face was also not good). Also the night time shots looks worse.

Nah the trailer didn't have that much commercial elements in it.The story looked normal.the commercial elements the film has are Rajnikanth,Rajni-Dips pairing & Rajni in an animated movie.

Most of Tamil movie fans are Rajnikanth fans. But its not only Rajnikanth in this trailer that I enjoyed. I enjoyed the trailer on the whole. If you didnt see the commercial elements, wonder whats commercial to you? The Salman Khan masala?

Rajni-Dips pairing was funny to say the least. I have my doubts on the pairing. But as far as the trailer goes, it was crisply cut, had wonderful musical score and was impressive in good parts. There were flaws (like bad work done by Nasser and Sarathkumar's animation) but overall I enjoyed it. I am watching the movie sure first day!

Look, a lot of people in India haven't watched animation films from the West (heck, a lot of people in India haven't watched animation films, period). So for them (and it includes me), this film will be a spectacle even in terms of the animation. For the other minority, criticism might be there but the commercial nature of the film (punch dialogues, dances, fights, music, etc) will ensure that they will keep quiet. Right now, its only trailer so people are over analzying it and putting it down.

Come the movie release, I am confident a lot of this will go down.

Even Baba was amazing because of Thalaivar's presence. I don't like this animation thingy but will surely get to watch in the theater for the mass screen presence of Rajnikanth.
