Tamin Iqbal

my tip to tamim would be to bat longer and give support to his other team mates like nafees, ashraful and aftab who are still trying to get back in form... he has to balance both aggresion and defense... we all think he is a big hitter but his strike rate is just 68 and average in one days is 26 which can improve if he can balance his shots...
Yes, the balance of aggression and defence... I remember when Bangladesh beat South Africa. Tamim played a decent innings there as well. After he got out, they were 4 down and it didn't look all that great, but for the partnership that formed next. Aftab Ahmed and Mohammed Ashraful have some pure and some more wild shots, but much of what led to the win was on the third man boundary. Singles. Good length ball, outside off, defended away to third man, easy single. Repeat. On that day, South Africa lacked killer instinct. For a start, they'd not selected a spinner on a pitch that was a bit slow, but their attitude to the Bangladesh innings was simply to let them go for 4.5 runs an over and let them build the odd partnership. Then Mortaza came in and smashed 30 and all of a sudden Bangladesh had set their first 250 against a Test nation since 2005.

Now, it's not such a rarity to find teams guilty of hubris, as one day captains frequently resort to defence as soon as they can; a tactic of which the effectiveness is proportional to the amount of runs they have left to defend. For Tamim Iqbal and Bangladesh, the singles will be there, waiting for them in the gaps, if they can just hold it together at the start.

Ryan Ten Doeschate is a great player it shocked me too when i checked his stats... people dont know him just because he is a dutch cricketer i hope we can see more of him in the future..
