TENNIS Tennis World Tour

If not, they do have a knack for going absent on games once they announce new ones, I'd hope they wouldn't do this given AO Tennis is their first global launch and that would really hurt them if they attempted a sequel down the line.

For me, the fact that Big Ant will still be updating the game a year after it was released speaks volumes about their commitment to this game.

The 12gb patch is for AO Tennis, so unrelated to TWT. Just the fact I have super slow internet and there was a 12gb patch only 2 weeks ago also, it's essentially like it replaces the whole game as the game launched at 13gb or so...

JohnnyDGaming:- Is this 1.27 patch for AO Tennis then? Not showing for me on PS4, is this for the Steam version??

Aha checking back above I think you were saying you hope its not a 12gb file again.

The big 12gb or so updates are due to the way certain versions (Steam mainly) need to slipstream the patch over existing files apparently, and rather than just having a patch with incremental files, they have no choice but to build the full files that are being replaced into the patch, so a game starting at 13gb and then having a 12gb patch installed over it, might only still be 14gb or 15gb in size afterwards, it wont necessarily end up being a 25gb sized game

Breakpoint is the developer for TWT remember, Bigben the publisher, but anyway! The positive I see for TWT is that they have no other games scheduled that I'm aware of currently, Big Ant will likely be working on that potential Gridiron game, the next Don Bradman/Ashes, Rugby League Live 5 to name a few, have you played Big Ant games previous to AO Tennis? If not, they do have a knack for going absent on games once they announce new ones, I'd hope they wouldn't do this given AO Tennis is their first global launch and that would really hurt them if they attempted a sequel down the line.
All I will say on this is we also released today a patch for Ashes Cricket - a game launched in November.

Apart from the zillion patches to various of their games after release.........

This was my reply to him as well...he at least needs to come with actual facts!

Spot on, there are many ways in which systems deliver patch files that mean there will be patches that are bundles of all previous patches, not incremental differences. We always do our best to minimise patch size.

We also run up against upper size limits that mean we need to scrap the patch system entirely, send the entire current game as a base build, to then add patches to again.

No worries Ross, good that you confirmed what I said.

Btw, I looked back at a conversation you and I had on this forum 4 years ago re: ball swerving in flight for DBC 14...............we had a slight disagreement I recall...............but I am SOOOOO glad that mikeymerren took on board my (blimey, something like 35 posts from me about sidespin by now) hopes that AO Tennis could have ball swerving mechanics in the game just like in real life.

AO Tennis right now is THE BEST TENNIS GAME EVER with the sidespin implemented to this degree, and I feel bloody proud that you guys took notice, cos I didnt see one single other forum poster asking for the same thing............................my word, just look at the fanfare for Top Spin 4 since 2012, not one of those "followers" seemed to have a clue that the ball was flying as straight as a die on EVERY SINGLE ground stroke.

Words fail me re: Top Spin 4, and I am so glad my pushing and pushing for sidespin in AO Tennis has now made this game what it is bloody amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Righteo then... I've got my opinions on each game I've played over the years, not everyone has to like it or agree

I respect that you have an opinion on games and watched your videos When AO came out: but If an opinion is contrary to facts then it needs to be called out

Just had a 76 shot rally. The realism in this game is just too much! :lol

and it was on which level of difficulty?...… against whom? Lower levels of difficulty hit the ball straight back at you.

Oh... my bad - apologies to all

My only excuse is I am here ATM... but I should really pay more attention!

Haha yes it was in TWT. I should be getting AO tomorrow so good to hear I won't be seeing any rallies of that length :lol
