My iPhone 3GS just seemed to die for no good rhyme or reason. Not jailbroken, with iOS 4.1. Made the mistake of turning it off during a plane and upon turning it on afterwards got the "IMEI unknown" message.

Restore is unsuccessful because iTunes is absolute garbage and also because the phone keeps resetting itself for some reason during the restore process.

I'm taking it into the "genius" bar tomorrow but unless they fix it/replace it for free I'm done with Apple phones. Although all the apps are nice and all, there are just too many freaking problems with the software.

Getting the new iPod Touch for christmas. It's my first Apple product so I'm quite excited. The mp3 player I've been using all these years is a massive bulky black thing which is pretty crap tbh, so quite a big upgrade.

My iPod Touch is my best bedtime friend right now. I crawl into my comforter and switch on the YouTube app and watch some good comedy clips and slowly I am put off to sleep. Since I have a power outlet at the head of my bed and a USB power adapter, my iPod is always connected to power and so it doesnt drain out. LOVELY! With a transparent case, I am not even so keen to go for iTouch 4.

A bit late, but what do you guys think about the iPad 2?

I've heard that it's definitely faster than the original iPad and that the camera quality is rubbish. I haven't had a go on it yet but for me personally, I would still go for the original iPad. They've dropped the price on it and it's not really all that big and heavy in the first place.

From what I've read, and it is A LOT! It seems that the jump from iPad to iPad 2 is mostly cosmetic, and fancy wording.

I'm a huge Apple fan, got the laptop, the phone and now an iPad. I got the original iPad for more than ?100 off.

The speed difference is negligible for normal users. I'll probably try to pick up the iPad 2 in near a year when the iPad 3 is coming around.

A bit late, but what do you guys think about the iPad 2?

It hasn't been released here yet so it's not really 'a bit late' for us I think it comes out tomorrow though.

Apparently it feels a lot faster than the first one, but it's not enough of a difference to be worth upgrading.
