India in trouble at 33/3 !

Alan Wilkins : The Aussies are right back on top thanks to a superb spll by Mcgrath and a great piece of fielding by Symonds . India are 33/3 and have lost SAchin Sehwag and Laxman . Sehwag was bowled of a dream delivery by Mcgrath ! The overcast conditions helping the ball play plenty of tricks . Sachin was caught plumb in front by a Mcgrath inswinger and Laxman out to a drilliant direct hit by Symonds . ATM Dravid and Kaif are fighting it out and India are 35/3 after 8 overs . Expect a tight finish today , Mike !

Michael Slater : Alan, I feel Australia will win it unless Dravid plays one of the knocks of the tournament . The Indians , I feel were complascent about the total and batted a bit loosely . Its a sin to b run out at crucial times an India are repeating it time and again ! I`ll bet on an Aussie win !

India in further touble ! 126/5 after 24

Alan Wilkins : The Aussies getting 2 more wickets of Yuvraj and Dravid who was controversially run out . The last recognised pair are batting and it is a great opportunity for the young wicket keeper to prove himself an help his partner Kaif to guide India through to victory . The Aussies are bowling superbly ATM and look lik taking a wicket every ball ! Navjot, any sidhuisms on the Indian performance !

Sidhu : `Never kill a man who is trying to commit suicide` ! The Indian running between the wickets is like a man in an Indian autorickshaw ! There hav been 5 run outs in the last 2 games . Unpardonable ! Mohammed Kaif will have to repeat what he did at Lords in 2002 . Remember, he has a youngster at the other end who fears nothing . He is facing the world champions for the first time and has no inhibitions about it ! All India need is to bat with common sense . `Common sense is seeing things as they are and doing thm as they ought to be done` !

good bowling by the aussies

dont worry adiyta. members are on at different times so dont worry memners will post in you thread

i will be following this series very closely its very exciting

espesciall the match beyween indiia and pakistan

The match all set to be a classic ! India 161/7 after 33

Harsha Bhogle : What a match in progress here at Trent Bridge ! Every time India look to sneak ahead of Australia, the aussies have picked up a wicket . The partnership between Dhoni and Kaif looked ominous but Hogg came in nd got them the breakthrough ! Kaif played a good innings . The six off Lee was reminiscent of the one he hooked Flintoff for six in the Natwest Series Final at Lords in 2002 . The runout of Kaif showed us why India have not done so well in ODIs as in tests ! The running between th wickets has been appauling and must be looked into if India have to be a force in ODI cricket ! India look to b starring down the barrel with Pathan and Khan batting and Singh and Balaji to follow . There are still 47 runs to get and the Aussies will make it as difficult as possible for India . Irfan Pathan has a chance to proove himself as an allrounder and if he can do it , he can justify his place in th ODI squad ahead of Nehra .

Sunil Gavaskar : The Indian batsmen have commited hara-kiri according to me ! Three runouts of top batsmen is unpardonable and a side like Australia will nver let you recover after that . Irfan Pathan , as Harsha said has a good oppurtunity to prove his talnt with the bat . Zaheer has the world record for the highest score by a No.11 in tests . I hope they take India through .

Wah.. What a match going on here?? C'mon India. Win this one for us. Beat the Aussies.

the wicket that mcgrath took of sachin looks too high for me

The Match ends in a tie !

Harsha Bhogle : A game which had all our hearts pumping as fast as a ferrari has ended in a tie . This has been without doubt the best match of the series . In the end India will be quite happy that they did not lose the game ! The aussies will be disappointed having let the Indians escape with a tie !

Presentation Cremony and Press Conference !

Tony Greg : Welcome to the Presentation ceremony for the Game 5 of The Natwst Pentangular 2005 . We have witnessed one of the best ODI matches ever played in England . A tied gam between the World Champions and the World Cup Runners Up . I would like to call upon Ricky Ponting to have a chat ! Ricky, any finger-nails left ?

Ricky : Not many actually ! A fabulous game but we are disappointd on not winning this one after having them at 173/9 . We bowled far too many extras . Credit to Mohammad Kaif and the tailenders for the way they hung on . We`ll have to sort out some areas of our game if we are to gt back out winning streak .

Tony : Good Luck fo the next game Ricky ! May I now call upon RAhul Dravid to come up and have a chat ! Heart pumping at a more normal rate , Rahul !

Rahul : Not yet . We thought 207 was chaseable but we lost a few wickets too many early on and three crucial runouts put us on the back foot . In the end Kaif batted outstandingly well under pressure and got us back in the match . Full credit to Dhoni,Irfan ,Balaji and Zaheer for hanging on and salvaging a tie , though a win was definitely possible !

Tony : thank You Rahul . Now its time for the Natwest MOM decided by the Sky Sports Comm. Team . Today since the match was a tie , we have decided to award it jointly to A.Symonds and Mhd.Kaif !
Kaif, you seem to have a habit of scoring runs under pressur in England, don`t you ?

Kaif : I certainly enjoy playing in England and the good luck seems to continue . Iam disappointed on not winning the game for India . Hopfully, we`ll do well against the Windies in the next match .

Tony Greg : Andrew Symonds is feeling unwell and unavailable for the Presentation . So the Presntation ceremony concludes with this . Thank You All for witnessing this superb game . See you at Manchester for th India V Wst Indies match .
