Hope you guys didn't miss me much..... if you even noticed :p

Of course, everyone gets sad when the whipping boy goes missing :p

Nah, seriously this forum is dieing slowly, the more people that are active the better.

I lost to Murderers today in PC league final....

which was expected with PFL problems....
got thm out for 177 but thn only made 82....
so Murderers r the new champions....

Well done murderers, best team on pc apparently! Will there be another competition now? Not to try and pressure you into action briggsy :p

Big W'a Sneaky Penguins
Top Order: proficient mediocre
Middle Order: respectable mediocre
Lower Order: abysmal abysmal
Seam Bowling: respectable mediocre
Spin Bowling: proficient mediocre
Fielding: mediocre mediocre

I beat that team by 5 wickets :D Bt20 is surprising...

needed 26 off last 2 overs, Hedley took it in One...

18.6 6 Edge to Hedley
Hedley crushed that delivery, it's gone miles in the air. I think that burnt up on re-entry.
And that's his fifty! Well played.
18.5 4 Edge to Hedley
Hedley drives it down the ground through mid off for four.
18.4 4 Edge to Hedley
Sneaky. He found the gap between gully and slip and the ball goes over the rope.
18.3 4 Edge to Hedley
Lucky runs! That ball was short of a good length and too close to the body for Hedley to comfortably cut. It's clipped the top edge of his angled bat and wrong-footed the keeper, before racing away to the vacant fine leg fence.
18.2 2 Edge to Hedley
Too wide and full and he pushes, rather than drives, through extra cover.
18.1 6 Edge to Hedley
That one's heading well over the mid wicket boundary... where it's been caught in a spectator's beer glass! I think Hedley will be having the drinks bought for him tonight if he hits any more blows like that.

I hope there will be but Briggs seems short of time lately and Spin doesn't seem to post much anywhere. Hopefully Briggs can still find time or someone can come aboard to help out.

I wouldnt mind a massive divisional league with the shield combining.. Im struggling with my school work with the distraction

lets gets it going thn...
if we r playing thn we shuld schedule it so tht it finishes before next seasons's BT cup starts, as long breaks really takes the intrest out of the competition.

i would personally like a cup format. with group stages and thn knockout.
thr could be two cups though after group stages one for the top half in each group and one for the lower half in each group....

I dont think Briggs gonna do it this time....
Someone else need to get up to the task....

P.S. i cant do it myself i am in uni and a bit busy atm....

P.S.S
8 groups of 4 teams each = 3 weeks of group stage
2 quailifying from each group so 16 teams = 4 weeks of knock out stages.

Total of 7 Weeks.... like the JFW cup....

I think PC looks like he's the man but I'll help if he can't be bothered. Think we should find out who'd actually bother taking part first though :p

or we could try the divisional league structure again. incorporate the shield teams as i know there are loads of teams there that would be very active. And to spice up the league have an Fa cup style competition (or CL) run simultaneously i.e every 3rd/4th game week there is a cup week.

Each PC season would last 2 BT season.

Play each team once, say 13 teams in a league that's 12 games each. 2 weeks for play offs is 14 weeks. say the break for the BT cup will be 8 weeks (max) there are plenty of weeks for the CL or FA cup style competition

only rough numbers suggested
