First Innings:
Michael Lumb and Shikar Dhawan gave a solid start to Deccan. They added up 20 runs in no time! After adding thirteen more runs, Abhimanyu Mithun stuck as Shikar Dhawan tried for a big one over long on, but failed miserably as he couldn't connect it well. The ball was directly in the hands of the then mid on, Saurabh Tiwary. Sangakkara and Michael Lumb din't took any major chances. They played good cricket and RCB were left wicket less for about 12 overs.

But finally, when they started slogging, Sangakkara gave away his wicket to Daniel Vettori after playing a big innings of 57 (37), which included 8 boundaries and a six. Immediately, Michael Lumb followed his skipper, just after three balls. He just wanted to hit the ball hard, but Dirk Nannes delivered a slower one, which meant he din't had any bat when the ball actually came. His left leg was in the trajectory of the perfect yorker ball, which meant that it was plumb in front of wicket.

Cameron White was slogging at one end where as Bharat Chipli played an unusual knock. He scored just a run off five balls, and gave his wicket away to Abhimanyu Mithun. Dale Steyn walked in, and did what he was expected to. A boundary and strike to Cameron White. White finished off the innings with a huge six. They posted a good total 170-4 in their allotted 20 overs and Royal Challengers Bangalore need 171 to win from 120 balls.

Second Innings:
Rilee Rossouw, the South African gave a perfect start to the second innings as he broke out with 4 consecutive boundaries right in the first over. Mayank Agarwal couldn't do well. He tried to keep up the run rate but he just resulted out to be a batsman who scored 8 (10). He gave his wicket away to Manpreet Singh Gony, who bowled a beauty to Agarwal. Mayank, trying to make it a big one wide long on, couldn't play it well. The ball edged and went up in the air, with Ravi Teja finishing the remaining formalities of sending him to pavilion.

Vorat Kohli and Rilee Rossouw played good cricket for sometime. But soon, Rossouw blasted badly. MS Gony, who had a good first over, got all his figures spoiled badly! He gave away 25 runs in his second over as Rilee hit three sixes and a four! He kept on playing in the same style till his end.

Finally, Amit Mishra picked up the danger man, Rilee Rossouw. The ball was sent way toooo high in the air, probably the highest any one has seen, but it was a fantabulous catch by Michael Lumb at the boundary. The ball just fell in the boundary line, and Lumb extracted the most of it as he caught it. It was undoubtedly the Karbon Kamaal catch of the match.

AB de Villiers and Virat played sensible cricket, by punishing the ball to a boundary, only if it deserves. They both tried to finish the things off, when they required some 19 runs to win from 24 balls or so, but both the batsmen failed in doing that as both of them turned to pavilion. Asad Pathan played decent cricket, whereas Chateshwar Pujara took singles and quick twos. Finally, Royal Challengers Bangalore reached the target with one over to spare, as Asad Pathan hit a stylish boundary over wide long on. ROYAL CHALLENGERS BANGALORE WIN BY 6 WICKETS.

Awards:
The man of the match award was given to Rilee Rossouw, whose brisk innings of 67 (28) is the basement, which RCB needed for chasing such a big total. He was given the DLF maximum sixes award too as he hit three sixes. Michael Lumb was given the Karbon Kamaal Catch award.

Rossouw has suddenly came into the act and has played a exceptional inning. 67 runs off 28 balls is impressive for someone who is new to the IPL.

Lovely work on the flags, looks great. :thumbs

Roussouw is in prime touch and he along with Kohli and AB, led them with the bat and Mithun+Nannes did it with the ball. RCB looking top contenders here!

Can we get the Standings?

Waiting to see an unexpected Gayle Storm here too! :D

First Innings:
Mayank Agarwal and Rilee Rossouw gave a formidable start to RCB. Both scored at 6 an over initially for couple of overs, but after then, Mayank blasted off with boundaries. Rilee Rossouw seemed to begin his cameo, but after hitting three consecutive boundaries, one over wide long on, one over third man and one paddle swept, got out trying to loft the ball up. He went front foot to hit the ball over long on over a slow ball put by Southee. Dhoni was keeping right behind the stumps and the moment he missed, Dhoni took up the job, finished the formalities successfully.

Virat Kohli was calm and quite, while playing. He took most of his runs in quick singles and twos, where as Mayank was in a process of increasing his fame with blind boundaries dispatched all round the ground. He lofted one over the long on, which resulted him in getting the maximum. No sooner he hit that, he lifted up his bat for his well made quick half century, just off 28 balls. It was followed by a beautiful boundary, as he ball was guided towards the third man area, which was left fielder-less.

But who knew, in the very next over, trying to hit the ball for a six, Mayank top edged the ball, which resulted in the ball going way too high in the air. Srikanth Anirudha took a beautiful one. The ball fell right in between mid wicket and square leg, which was caught by the fielder at square leg, Srikanth Anirudha. It was definite that he was going to get the Karbon Kamaal Catch award.

AB de Villiers walked in, but it was surprising to find him playing defensive cricket! In the meantime, Kohli banged the ball for his first boundary since his arrival at the crease. AB de Villiers gave his wicket away to Suraj Randiv, as he gave a silly catch to Subramaniyam Badrinath, who was at mid on. He scored just 3 runs off the ten balls he faced.

Cheteshwar Pujara and Saurabh Tiwary couldn't score well too, but they both supported Virat Kohli till the end. Kohli managed to pull a ball for a six, with that being the only six along with the only boundary scored by Kohli since the departure of Mayank Agarwal. Royal Challengers managed to reach 150 mark, at the end of their 20th over.

Second Innings:
Murali Vijay and Srikanth Anirudha gave Chennai a superb start. They both added fast and furious 62 in just 7 overs. Sreenath Aravind finally removed Murali Vijay, a much needed breakthrough for RCB, if they wanted to stay in contention to win this match. Suresh Raina supported Srikanth Anirudha, as Anirudha took the charges of hard hitting. The rate was controlled a bit, not like what it was earlier the wicket fell, but Chennai was seeming to have a definite victory, when the three main batsmen Anirudha, Raina and Morkel fell in a short span of 11 balls. Styris couldn't stay longer. But one good thing for Chennai was they had the captain fantastic Dhoni playing. Even Badrinath fell for a low score, which meant Ravichandran Ashwin walked in.

With 11 runs required to win from last over, Dhoni trying to connect the ball for huge ones and missing them, he couldn't score anything for the first three balls. Thanks to the pace variation of Zaheer Khan. Then, he tried to hit a big one, but miserably failed. He managed to get a single, which meant that CSK needed 10 from last two with Ravichandran Ashwin on strike. Ashwin was on a different ideas of taking Chennai to en ecstatic victory as he hit a huge six over wide long on. Chennai needed four from last delivery, when Zaheer's inswinger did the job for RCB, as Chennai managed to get just two runs off that delivery, that too because of misfield by fine leg. Royal Challengers Bangalore won by 1 run.

Awards:
The man of the match was given to Virat Kohli, whose cool 49(35) rescued the innings when RCB had batsmen going down at the other end. Karbon Kamaal catch was given to Srikanth Anirudha for his beautiful catch. DLF Maximum sixes was actually a sharing affair between Mayank Agarwal, Virat Kohli, Murali Vijay and Ravichandran Ashwin. But as Mayank Agarwal was the maximum scorer of all these four, he was awarded the DLF maximum sixes award.

Close shave for RCB there. It would have been better for their and NRR's sake that the they finished their innings better i.e. hit a few outside the park. Kohli nearly cost them the game when he bowled himself and went for 17 but can't be blamed as he was instrumental and without him RCB couldn't have posted a good score. Good to see younster Agarwal and Rossouw in great touch. RCB all the way (even in real life)
....but I support Mumbai first and RCB second
