oh sorry i forgot that when two overhyped nations get knocked out of a cup fairly the tournament should be cancelled. dont worry you'll have a new coach and captain soon who you can ask to be killed. personally i think this is one of the best world cups with NZL and srilanka looking to pose a good challenge and Australia and SA playing good like always. Ooooh harsh words! I see that attempting to play the tough drill instructer card seems to edify your ego very much so! Regardless to where your predilections may lay, it doesn't change the fact that a sizeable portion of the cricketing fanbase will be despondant to the fact that their teams have been knocked out. Call it immature, call it whatever you want, but nothing can change that-already cancellations are mounting, and economically, it may seem as though this was quite a disastrous WC.

In terms of cricket, though, I have to agree that with NZ, SL, and Aus and SA all in good form, with Ban, and maybe Ire creating a few upsets, it has been very good to watch!

at the start there are you saying it makes me better or worse (i seriously cant understand) i agree it wont help cricket in india or pakistan but if australia got knocked out early it wouldnt help them. you cant say its the worst world cup ever on the basis that 1 or 2 teams got knocked out sometimes the best things are the most open things.

I totally agree with this statement. The no name teams so to speak are actually giving the Cricket World something to talk about. Fans would hate to see another battle between Australia and Pakistan as they know what will happen, its just that predictable. But with the other no name teams, anything could happen, you saw what happened beteween Ireland and Pakistan, something "big" like that could happen in the Super 8's, and if it does, everyone willl be excited and talking about it. So having the no name teams in the Super 8 is a good think in my opinion.

At first I started out a bit defensive, but I changed my opinion of your post later on. Regardless of what the WC is cricketing wise, in terms of revenue, it isn't exactly ideal. I will enjoy the cricket, as anyone else should, but a lot of money will be lost because the two nations where cricket is the biggest have suffered an ignominous fate.
