Reaction
1-0 to us in the series! We continue our good form with a great start in the match as England find themselves at 95/6. Then an incredible partnership of 99 between Prior and Giles, completely puts us of course as England head to 226. A decent total considering what position they were in! Asif gets a very special mention, a 5fer! 5-79 showing how well he bowled aswell as he got Prior and Giles. It was then our turn to bat and it really has been our strongest asset this year. Alam and Yousuf dominated the English bowlers with a partnership of over 150. Alam eventually got bowled by batting star Giles whilst Harmison got Yousuf. With a good lead of 131, England need to score big. 238 was their reply which was not a good total at all. With the score at 129/2 it looked like they wouldn't be losing this second test but then a collapse made it looked otherwise. A partnership of 53 between Flintoff and Giles nearly got them back into it, as Giles made another nice contribution of 25. It wasn't enough for them though as we chased down the total of 107 very easily and eventually won by 8 wickets. It was a bumpy ride at first as Iqbal went after 4 balls but we steadied ourselves and Nisar(47*), Khan(30) and Alam(26*) guided us to victory. Brilliant.
